My bottle arrived yesterday and immediately had to get my nose on it. Had the same experience you described so I went back and bought a second bottle. That would have been the end of my story but this morning I wore it as my scent for the day and before going thru a McDonald's drive thru. With a mask on the cashier asked if I was wearing a Cologne or my shower gel. Caught off guard and I began to apologize because I thought I had over sprayed the scent because it had projected out of my SUV and into the restaurant. She quickly said no. no it smells great! I paid for the meal and drove away with a huge smile on my face. Thanks for the KZbin referral and discount.

Just bought this scent and everything that has been said is true... it starts blue, nothing special but nice... but once the base kicks in, this scent becomes special, almost like an aura, that lasts and lasts. Fully recommend this, it's addictive!!

I’m late to the game, but smelled this for the first time this past weekend, and man I had to go buy immediately. My friend who wore it, left a trail of the scent that I couldn’t resist and had to ask what he was wearing. Yeah, I often don't like blue scents. They smell sharp, stuffy and generic to me. When I say generic, I don't mean cheap or low quality. I mean mass replicated. But, I have found a couple that are okay. It's difficult finding fragrances that I like. Because although I might like one fragrance, I often don't like related fragrances that are comparable. However, for some reason, I might like several fragrances from the same house when I do find a fragrance I like.

Glad that you are back and recovering. I am a fan of excellent blue fragrances. I have not tried Ocean Noir but it sounds like a winner. I tried Prada Luna Rosa Ocean earlier in the summer. That was fantastic...Thumbs up for "Blue Monk"!!!

So I first smelled this in the discovery pack. I really liked the scent but felt I didnt get the best wear out of it cuz the sample spray so small. So I orderd the big bottle. My son is in high school so I let him wear my fragrances. He got 3 compliments first day. I agree its fresh but there is some darkness that makes it ok to wear during the cooler days. Definitely a day time fragrance

I don’t know if I can necessarily help, but it’s definitely not an outside the box fragrance! It was intended to be an easy-wear. And if you’re judging performance form smelling it up close, I would give it a full wearing and judge it from there if you haven’t.

Your reaction was the same as mine. I have seen this on Kingdom Fragrances for a while and heard Ross talk about it a lot, and I had gotten a sample pack with this in it, but never got around to trying it. And yes, once I tried it -- at first, it was very basic. It reminded me a bit of Dylan Blue, BUT it mainly reminded me of Penguin Premium Blend / Tommy Bahama's St. Kitts in terms of the "sea-worthy" nature of the scent. So I kind of wrote it off in the opening and said that it smelled "nice" and "pleasant" but couldn't justify the $115 that it cost. And then it settled. And the musk and amberwood came out. And I couldn't stop smelling it and like you said, this is criminally sexy. Dark, yet aquatic, yet musky, yet smoky, yet captivating..there's just "something" about the fragrance that makes it different than others on the market. It isn't super mind-blowing, but you don't see it coming, like a chameleon. This is something that I can get behind and I'm going to try and get this in the next week or so. This is a great scent, hands down.

I actually was surprised by a scent that smells like a fresh scent, but has this sweetness to it similarly to Ocean Noir and Dylan Blue - the 2021 release from Ex Nihilo named 'The Hedonist'. But in the end, as with all blue scents, the performance is such a letdown. 4h expected, 6h if lucky.

Your mileage will always vary! I can't say how long it will last on you. It lasts about 8 hours for me.

For price - quality, Malul is a dumb reach. I collect literally 100’s of men’s fragrances and wear them at work/on weekends and Malul’s fragrances get me compliments all of the time. Often more compliments than much more expensive fragrances.
