Here's my take. Dak hasn't won anything important in the NFL and doesn't want to be pushed or challenged at the highest level with an elite Head Coach. He would rather not rock the boat and have a soft coach like McCarthy. I am disappointed in Dak inspite of him getting the bag he wants to play coy. He needs to understand he needs a top HC to overcome his slightly above avg abilities and play. Dak its so obvious, these losses have got to you mentally and the deer in the headlights look (it would happen to the best of us, no shame) and you need a Belichick typea stud to overcome these challenges

Don’t forget that just a few days ago Jimmy Johnson said he would have never given Dak Prescott the deal that Dak just signed. Jimmy said Dak should have not been paid like the best QB because he’s not the best QB. Jimmy said he would have allowed Dak’s deal to expire next season and go from there. So of course Dak is going to support McCarthy because McCarthy for some reason believes in Dak.

Unfortunately, for me and it breaks my heart, but if McCarthy returns after this season and yes, they won three straight 12 win seasons but what have I seen for the past six years they can't stop the run and they've had glimpses of being able to run the ball against bad teams against the upper echelon teams. They've never really since 2016 been able to run the ball against good teams. If you can't run the ball against good teams, your offense needs to be great at passing in Prescott. Can't really pass that very well without a run game defensively they have struggled at stopping the run. For years I would say go get Bill Belichick who's gonna figure out and solve their defense and go get a young hot shot offensive coordinator that can work with Prescott on offense but you have Mike McCarthy call off he's not like he's a genius on offense name Mike McCarthy's best game calling offense

I do believe that Mike's coaching does play a big part in this mess. However I fully believe that Jerry Jones won't and never will put the coach in the best condition to win. Jones picks everything who is on the coaching staff and players. Mike never will have the opportunity to pick his own staff because that in Jerry's mind would be just another risk of being outshined and overlooked if Mike's own changes bring secess and prosperity.
