This was so much fun to watch and the end result was fantastic. What I like most and please don't take this the wrong way is the normality of you doing it, it makes it feel doable. My heart was in my mouth whilst the little house was on the counter whilst you constructed the rest of the cake, if I had risked that I know I would have destroyed it. Loving your channel.

It would be so much fun if it wasn't so much work 🥺. Yet I did notice your precious dog wanted his share🐶🥺. It looks good enough to eat😋.

So this might be a little late, but I have a tip for you re: buttercream. Because I, too, don't really like American buttercream, and I, too, love patisserie-creme (is that how you write it?). I've learnt that in Austria and Germany, people make buttercream by mixing patisserie-creme and butter 1:1. It works really well and tastes good too!

the result looks so amazing and delicious! Also, I always find the planning over several days a bit overwhelming but the resulting baked goodie is usually well worth the hassle. I'm not one for elaborate Christmas dessert but I do make an Easter dessert each year that takes three days to make and looks very impressive if I dare say so. And it even passed my nonna's approval since it's her recipe she got from her own mother.

Interestingly, the way you made your egg nog filling is the same way you make hollondaise sauce.

I tried making icecream once and the scalded milk added to eggs ended up with scrambled eggs and my ice cream just tasted like scrambled eggs… I don’t like the taste of eggs so ofh x,x
