From what I know Lana's use of spanish comes from her living in spain during her adolescence and her spanish speaking puerto rican friends even gave her the name Lana Del Rey but anyone feel free to correct me pls

@@dannyy2b She’s been back too she mentions it in Paris, Texas. She’s talked about it before. “I was going to Miami quite a lot at the time, speaking a lot of Spanish with my friends from Cuba” I think that’s around the time she was coming up with her name. I think she still friends with them too as in her last album she mentions going to Spain to see her friends.

hell yeahhhh my fav Lana album you should react to Sky Ferreira's 2013 Night Time, My Time!!! its her only album and it's kinda a modern classic and you definitely will realize you heard echoes of it in some recent popular releases! she's on every music magazines most anticipated releases list every year just because of that album

yayy uvvvv. never think that lanas songs r gonna b happy lol, she has a few tho. uv got me lip syncing the same way u were actually. Lana relates a few things to Jim, for ex, jim beam the alcohol, jim as a general reference to an ex, jim morrison, jim jones. her spanish is from when she was sent to boarding school in spain during her childhood bc of alcohol problems. im so happy u got bonnie and clyde bc a lotta ppl dont even hear that in sad girl for some reason. pretty when u cry is so good for it being freestyled and taken in one take. pretty when u cry is like when an abuser makes u cry and then tells u ur pretty when u cry and continues the cycle of abuse bc of their fake love. money power glory is supposed to be satire, the media came after lana saying she was a bit of a gold digger so in this song she kinda just leans into that portrayal. fucked my way up to the top is also satire, she was criticized by ppl saying she slept w ppl to get famous. and also she makes a dig at Lorde after Lorde came for her, "mimicking me is a fuckin bore, to me" was meant for Lorde. honestly the ones u put the lowest on ur rankings have mostly been growers for me but they became my favourites like i have florida kilos on all the time now. "white lines pretty daddy go skiin, u snort it like a champ like the winter were not in" is one of my fav lines. the other woman is a cover of nina simone's song so thats why there's a switch up there. black beauty is in my rotation too rn, feels like she talkin to me, but yes her lover is depressed and she cant help him. cant wait for more lanaaa
