Yup! No need to rush it, but you shouldn't fall into complacency or "waiting" for confidence to come either. I've never agreed with literally starting since day 1 if the student doesn't feel he or she has the tools or need.

I never speak from day 1 either. It makes so much more sense to grasp the basics before you speak. Granted, there are polyglots that prefer to speak from day 1, but I think they are the minority. And I think most of them only aim to speak at a basic level and usually don't shoot for fluency (nothing wrong with that; it's a choice of breadth over depth). All in all, I always go for input before output (i.e. speaking) when I learn a new language. It's a good reminder that it works well as a method, so thank you for this video.

I couldn't agree more English is my second language and if I'd be able to relearn I would first start off to familiarize with the 15 vowel sounds and the infamous schwa sound by listening, I would always check out the correct pronunciation of a word before using it, Because English is so inconsistent I still struggle with it, That's why I don't agree with talking from day one

English became my second language and recently i decided to utilize Spanish in my daily routine. As Brazilian student, in my country don't have any partner to practice freely in the street or other places. But I'll give a try. by the way i liked you content I'll see you in the next one

I remember when I was talking with native speaker. She said, "why do you always say '3 until 4pm' instead of 3 to 4pm" and I replied, "It's just my habit, but thanks for correcting me." After she said that, I'm trying hard to change it to 'to' instead of 'until'.

Hiiii Naila, can you make the not-so famous 30-day english challenge? I once watched Languamarina's 30-day challenge video for english learners, but I think you can make one from an Indonesian view. Hope you'll consider it, thankyou xx

Saya udah 8 bulan mengikuti channel nya.. sampai saat ini saya blum bisa bebahasa inggris.. jngankan bicara, nton film aja saya gk ngerti smpe skrg. Tapi bukan channel nya yg salah.. setelah saya pikir2, kendala utama adalah lingkungan yg tak m3ndukung. Mau ke luarnegri tapi gkpunya dana.. mau ke bali aja boro2.
