At OCB, they squad learn that one of the junkies they have arrested is Mark Jorgenson, Jr., son of wealthy Miami market trader Mark Jorgenson, Sr.. As this is Mark, Jr.'s second offense in eight months, they apply the pressure, hoping to find out the names of his dealer and the dealer's supplier. They almost succeed, but just as he is about to sign the plea bargain, his father's lawyer bursts in with a court order securing his release.

Tubbs speech is one of the best parts of Little Prince and one of his best quotes from the whole series. I've seen many people like Mark be it in my personal life or my work - we had tons just in college. A strong point in Miami Vice is how it approach matters in a very nuanced and sensitive way. Little Prince is one of my favorite episodes.

Tubbs refers to Mark, Sr. as "voted most likely to be Robert Vesco in high school". Vesco (1935-2007) allegedly committed securities fraud and escaped prosecution by fleeing to countries that refused extradition (Costa Rica, Cuba etc.). He was never put on trial in the US for his crimes, but Cuba did sentence him to 13 years in jail in 1996 for similar offenses. He died in prison in November, 2007.

This is one of the slowest episodes of the entire series. There is no real tempo and the story is told rather slowly in comparison to other episodes. This ist NOT a critical comment. This episode just shows, how slow the speed of narration in TV was some 40 years ago. In our hectic present, this episode would have been told within approx. 25 minutes.
