Thx for watching. This is my opinion on Ally so far. If you like her that is absolutely fine. Just wanted to talk about this character definitely with all the discussion about her recently. I do want to say. I don't think Ally voting for Aiden and betraying the heros was a dumb decision. I get why she did it. However her getting mad or shocked that Aiden likes Jake more makes no sense. Also just going to say it one more time. Jake and Ally have both done messed up things. Jake isn't innocent and was mean to Ally most of the season. And I do think some people are a little to harsh on her at times. I still not the biggest fan of her character but can see why others like her.

I am definitely not a Jake fan and they both have done messed up things. Also never said Ally has done the most messed up things. Characters like Yul, Riya, and Alec exist. If you like her that is absolutely fine but I am just not the biggest fan of her this season.

Ally wants her cake and to eat it too; Be a likable person but also put herself above everyone else. It's her constant switching sides from hero to villain that makes her annoying. Its ok to make decisions that are good for your game, but it gets annoying when you expect sympathy for it.

I'm going to rip the bandaid off. I'm not a big Ally fan, she can be okay at times although she is now becoming a bit annoying. I do think Ally is way too obsessed and insecure about how people react to her as a streamer she naively believes everyone is going to like her, that's not true there's always going to be people who will dislike her and there's nothing she can do about it. There's also the fact she got upset over the fact Aiden preferred Jake over her when she barely interacted with Aiden even during the merge. While Jake is in the wrong for antagonizing her throughout the premerge by antagonizing her with Ashley sharing a small part of the blame by making Ally apologize to Jake after his half-assed apology, Jake is also in the wrong by bringing up Hunter in their conversations which is taking their feud way too far. Not to mention the fact she left Jake to be possibly mauled to death by a bear, her villain arc honestly started way too late in the game while it's smart she turned on the heroes because she saw flipping on the Heroes' alliance to vote out Aiden as a way of getting payback on Jake hence her calm reaction when confronted about her betrayal. I don't condone her behavior at all in episode 14, . Apologies for the long post, I just wanted to give my two cents on the whole Ally thing.

​@@PintheDog i believe episode 15 is all about wanting sympathy. She wants sympathy from the heroes (despite betraying them), and especially Aiden, as she wants him to choose her over Jake. All episode 15 Ally is focused on is Jake and how badly he has done her, when she left him to die and get hurt.

@lovewriothesley I don't think that she wanted sympathy so much as acknowledgment. In an alliance, you have to make everybody feel welcome and like they are part of the alliance. Aiden, Connor, and especially Jake did a poor job in making Ally feel like she belonged with them. Despite what several crybabies are saying, Aiden's question in the challenge was not the sole reason that she flipped. It was just the final straw for her.

@@PintheDogYeah, but we also should consider that Ally herself wanted to be liked, but she never put in the effort to befriend Tom, Aiden, or Connor. There wasn’t any official alliance until Aiden and Jake were cool with each other and when Jake was the one to comfort Connor. Ally put herself in that position because she didn’t prioritize her social game after Ashley was eliminated.

Never was a big fan of Ally in All Stars. People just started to dislike her recently, but I never liked her since the beginning. I feel like Hunter was more overhated when it came about their stupid arguments. And I think he was just trying to help his girlfriend understand that she needs to get over the opinions online and stop being a people pleaser. And I felt like most of the arguments with them were just petty and trivial. Like for example: 'Be mad at Hunter because he forgot about a video game Ally explained on the plane, and so Ally decides to shun him because of it. (Like, really Ally... It's not that serious)' I understand her hatred on Jake because he was a jerk towards her before merge when he had no reason to be. And I can see why she decided to double-cross the heroes this episode because she was obviously the least liked out of the four, so she'd most likely be voted as soon as all the villains were. But I think she's stupid for trusting Riya. Like Did Ally not watch her season because Riya was manipulative in S2

I am not a major Ally fan, I think she is an alright character, and I can even relate to her to some extent. Now, I feel like the hate for Ally is actually a bit too harsh. When Jake treats her like shit the entirety of the season, nobody says anything, but when Ally does something wrong once, everyone is ready to raise their pitchforks. Now that I think about it, Ally has been treated like shit by literally everyone except Tess. Jake randomly started hating on her because of his own drama, Ashley dismisses everything Jake does and even asks HER to apologize, Hunter dismissed her struggles and issues, none of the villains genuinely care for her, Gabby and Ally werent exactly very fond of each other since Gabby got Tess out, Tom barely interacted with her, and Aiden literally admitted to preferring Jake over her. I think Ally is simply a victim of terrible writing. The writers could have utilized her character more, and could have given her more interactions with other people, but chose not to, because Jake is more important I guess. Also everyone got mad at Ally for voting out Aiden, and like... why? Why would she vote with people that dont even like her, and will get rid of her as soon as the villains are out? And her current position now is ideal. Her and Grett are the deciding votes while its Jake and Connor vs Riya and Alec. This is my take on her character. I think she is a solid B+ tier character imo.

As a fan of Jake, I agree that the way he treated Ally was totally wrong because she didn't do anything to him (anyway, I also don't defend Ally for leaving Jake with a bear). On the other hand, I disagree with what you say about Hunter, I think he tried to be okay with her but she was tough on him (because of her insecurities). And also, for you to say that Jake hasn't been very hated seems ridiculous to me, as a fan I can perfectly say that he has been one of the most hated characters (currently not so much because of his evolution) it's just that it's not so noticeable because, just like he has many haters, he has many fans, unlike Ally, that's why it seems like Ally gets more hate than Jake did at the time but it's not true 😞

1:41 Actually it started the episode prior, Jake was distracted by Aiden and Tom (Eillie's sabotage) causing him to be run over by a giant rubber ball and losing the challenge for magenta team. Ally, instead of making sure Jake is okay, demeans him for costing them the challenge. Ever since then, Jake has hated her.

I wish Jake had asked a different question involving Hunter. He should have asked if she even still loved him. This girl has literally done nothing but insult him, be mad at him, ignore all his attempts to help her out throughout the season and written a song about all the things she hates about him. She literally has decided to trust and hear the advice of Riya, a piece of garbage that was happy almost killing someone and has pretty much stated multiple times how little she cares for anyone other than herself, over the advice her best friend and her boyfriend gave her. I'm sure the writers would make her say yes and be truthful, but honestly, she hasn't shown it once this season, and the question would have made far more sense than the one asked in the actual episode. Honestly, it's hilarious how people pick between Jake and Ally when they might as well be the same character. Insecure idiots who refuse to change, blame everything and everyone but themselves, fixate to a toxic degree on those they dislike and expect a positive outcome to happen from doing nothing about their problems. The problem is, the Jake I discribed was his basis as he came into the season as well as who he was in his debut season, meaning the writers had ample time to give him his growth. Ally on paper had this basis coming into this season but the writers decided to waste 13 episodes doing nothing with her of substance outside of the initial set up for their beef and thus her sudden turn feels too rapid and forced. Better buildup would do wonders here. Also yes, her choice to side with Grett and eliminate Aiden is strategic, no doubt. She would have been 4th without an immunity win, for sure, but whose fault is that? Like, Ally got herself into that position by choosing to not even bother talking to Connor OR Aiden ever outside of the "who we voting for" meetings. Like, she can't complain that Aiden picks Jake over her when she never once bother to utter a word in his direction. Hell, why did both her and Aiden choose to leave the Connor talk to Jake when they hate him so much and consider him immature and unreliable? Why couldn't she go and form a bond with him to get herself in a better spot? She got herself into that position because, like always, she expects to get everything while doing nothing for it. The worst of it all is that at this point it really does feel like they're gonna shoehorn her into the finale and even probably make her win while trying to do a last minute face turn to her heel turn and "make her win deserved" by her learning the lesson her best friend and boyfriend have been telling her since day one. Which will totally be so worth it, having a nothing character for over half the season win. Then again that is sadly true for like, all 3 of the likely winners....

I don't hate Ally, in fact, I really like her, but I do think the writers screwed up with her writing this season she did not do much. The main blame for this is the overfocus on Jake-Tom-Aiden's none-exiting love triangle. Riya becomes Disventure Camp Julia (instead of being the nuanced character she was in season 2). With Jake and Riya's dramas, most of the characters who do not take a huge part in those storyline just sidelines. we can see this with pretty much every female character who was eliminated before Connor's return. they all were sidelines and became the supporting or therapist to others (which is a shame because Lake, Tess and Ashley deseres much more). And Ally is just another victim of this phenomenon the hates storyline felt just there without any something important aside from few references for it here and there. a villain arc would be too late. I mean, we know this girl two seasons. making her villain will be just repeating Ellie and Riya turning to the "dark side" (and yet, with those two it came with nuances. what made them way better characters than what they became in AS) however, I do have hope for Ally. with sticking to Grett more than Riya, Ally can become the neutral character who just do what she needs to get ahead in the game. because to be honest, if Ally was still loyal to the guys, she would end up 4th place. She had to get rid of one. Jake won the challenge and Grett most likely told her that Connor has the immunity idol. which means Aiden is her only choice. but with any scenario Ally will go, it sad it's an outcome of Alec, Jake and Riya taking all the attention to themselves and leave nothing to the others (especially the females)

Im just gonna copy a post I agree with (OP agreed so I can use it) Im tired of how much hate this character gets So right off the bat, Ally was never my favorite character, nor even a character I liked, simply because I found her boring. But after rewatching the entire AS up to episode 15, I noticed how poorly she was treated by others (except Tess, I guess). Everything was fine up until episode 8, where Jake, out of nowhere, starts talking down to her and treating her like garbage. Ashley dismisses it and even wants Ally to apologize to Jake for being rightfully upset at him? Okay, what... He keeps on bringing up Hunter and how Ally is a menace towards him, completely dismissing her struggles, which is REALLY ironic coming from Jake. In episode 12, where Connor brings the "heroes" together, out of nowhere AGAIN, Jake yet again expresses how he is not willing to work with Ally, despite her not talking to him at ALL. In episode 13, Ally fades into the background once again, and we head into episode 14. Oh god, this episode. So before I start, yes, Ally was really annoying and frustrating, so I cut Jake some slack here. But once again, he gets personal, and his speech is giving MAJOR Ellie vibes. "I feel sorry for Hunter for having to deal with your bullshit" is giving "Ooh I got cheated on." Both were wrong to say that. Obviously, Ally didn't take it well, and leaving Jake to die was very wrong of her to do, but why is nobody pointing out how terrible that speech was? And finally, episode 15. Ally knows nobody in the heroes' alliance has her back, and she is definitely the f4 boot if she doesn't do anything about it. A lot of people complain about how much of a b\* she is for switching on them. But honestly, she did the right thing. She was never listened to by others, always dismissed, and now treated like a villain. Again, I don't condone her behavior in episode 14, but I'm tired of people antagonizing her, calling her names for one thing she did while being treated like a human punching bag the entire season. That's all. I just know I'm gonna get downvoted. Peace.

Jake and Ally could have had such a good friendship. In the musical episode they're writing together. Jake asks if its weird that he's thinking about Tom as he writes their song, and Ally tells him its not as she's thinking about Hunter. They're both insecure individuals who are dealing with their love interest kinda dismissing them(idk why they dropped that thing about Hunter forgetting what game Ally had told him about and such). Like the parallels were there, and its ok if they bicker a bit, but it needs to be equal-sided, not Jake going all in and then now Ally's the one really digging into him. I will say I am a Jake fan, but I don't like how he's not being forced to have a PROPER conversation with Ally. Also, we all know Jake is gullible, but do the writers really want us to think he's so stupid he'd let Fiore get in his head about Ally replacing him as Ashley's friend???? Ugh, I just. I hate it. The two coulda had such a good friendship arc, but they set up all that stuff just to completely throw it out.

Honestly, Ally was a decent character in Season 2 back when she was doing the love triangle thing with Tess and Hunter. Plus, she wasn't arguing with people every twenty minutes then. But now, she's kinda starting to lose my favoritism. She was so hung up on getting more people to like her that she spent a week arguing with Hunter about it, who was literally just trying to be a supportive boyfriend. And one of the last things she said to him was that all he ever did was make things worse. And out of nowhere, Jake and Ally started arguing with each other, to the point where she literally left him to get mauled by a bear during the TikTok challenge. On a side note, you know you're being insecure when even Jake says so. Then she tries to relate to Grett, who literally had it infinitely worse than her at the end of Season 1. And now, she's outright betrayed the Hero Alliance to vote off Aiden just cuz he said that he prefers Jake over her. I mean, how petty can you be? And I get that she's been under a lotta stress from all the hate comments on her stream since she and Hunter went public about their relationship (some of which came from Yul, for which I hope Hunter and Tess give him a beating), but it doesn't give her the right to bite her boyfriend's head off, leave her challenge partner to get eaten by a bear, and to vote someone off sheerly out of spite. Do better, Ally.

They way her character is being written is the main problem, it's too late to have anything done. First she was one of the most boring and forgettable character on S2, then she starts All Stars with an interesting plot only to do nothing for 8 episodes and then play twist villain by the third time teached by Riya and influenced by Jake's asshole actions towards her, with none of her plots having no devemployment at all or having plot holes. (Like Hunter waving at her on comeback episode and she ignores but then they talk normally later). She'll probably get finale but like, only tess and hunter cheer for her and she breaks down because of it and ranks 3rd place with the learning of "I should care more about my friends opinions instead of haters but also do good things for myself and those around me" and that "I also have my fault in some problems". It sucks, just sucks. She could have done so much more and its just too late for anything now. They could have deveployed her arc sooner, finished her arc with Hunter or have a good reason to switch sides instead of hating Jake, heck, her beef with Jake wasnt not needed at all they could have been besties who help each other with their mans instead. Her twist villain arc just proves to me that girl is not winning at all.

They go back and forth between who gets eliminated in the seasons in all stars which means riya is not gonna be eliminated bc she's not a season 1 character which mean alec will be eliminated and here's how I would think it would go, the villans vote for Connor and the heros vote for alec bc he's the smartest with strategy in the villans alliance, Connor uses the immunity totem canceling all of Connors votes and alec gets eliminated, then I think them rest of the elimination order will be double elimination riya and Connor then, Jake, ally and grett will be finalists, with Jake getting 3rd, ally getting second and grett winning the 3 million because there have been multiple foreshadowing that grett will win even in season one she said "you're looking at this games future winner" which is probably just a coincidence If I get this right I'm actually gonna freak out

Ally used to be a bottom character for me before DCAS, in S2 she had limited interactions and most of them were with Tess and Hunter, she didn't bring much to the table to reach final 6 (tbf Aiden and Hunter didn't either) and wasn't interesting, coming to All-Stars I found it interesting that they used that out-of-universe hate and implemented it to the canon, they stablish that it really affected her mentality and its not like we've never seen negative traits with her, we know that she was jealous when Hunter and Tess kissed and that she pretended to be fine with her so Hunter wasn't uncomfortable. On DCAS Ally becomes very insecure and doubts herself, she doesn't think she's strong, she doesn't feel good being called a hero, and she isn't sure if she's just being dramatic, and I really like that, she's similar to Jake and they take similar paths but make different decisions, when Alec tried to manipulate Jake to flip he was wary of him and rejected the idea, on the other hand, when Riya approached Ally she eventually got her to flip (Grett also helped but Ally would've voted for Jake if he didn't win immunity), another parallel is Aiden and Jake trusting each other to escape the wolf but Ally breaking that trust by leaving Jake with the bear, talking about that, it isn't justified to leave someone to die but I'm not going to dismiss a character just because they did a bad thing, after all they're fictional and the show isn't sure if that situation should be taken seriously or not, James poisoned Yul, Aiden got Karol injured, Miriam threw Fiore off a cliff, Riya left Aiden on a cliffhanger, etc. My biggest problem with Ally this season is her lack of screentime until Ep 14, that's 2/3 of the season where she wasn't relevant and I really don't like that approach, inbetween those episodes she only shined on Ep 5 and 6, similar to Grett who just gained her old personality back and started being relevant on Ep 13 and don't get me started on how dragged the YulGrett plot was. Overall I'm happy that Ally is finally doing something, I have other thoughts on Ally but I'll wait till the season ends to see where they go, and I hope she reaches the finale since she has a lot of potential, Ally has gone this far for a reason, right? Jake anger towards Alley started because he thought as Bad as Fiore is, she might be right about Alley taking Ashley away from him. Alley wanting to prove herself as useful to Ashley was mistaken thanks to Fiore lies. Then Jake saw what Hunter had problems with and kept that anger as much as he tried to move pass he broke when Alley picked “not look bad to fan” over both there lives and there chance at winning. Alley is convinced Jake an hater who put others down because his problems are more important. They haven’t broken free completely from what Alec, Fiore and Riya said to cause drama.

Both have never treated eachother well after episode 6. I feel like the pacing with ally is what ruins her in this season. They set up a good story with her feeling self conscious about her fans and wanting to do what they say. They didn’t focus on it at all in the beginning and then to compensate over corrected by trying to shove what should be like a season long arc into like 2 episodes. She could have tried reaching out to the heroes more but they all like each other more than her she could try getting closer with aiden and Connor and they both leave her to hang with Jake. This would make her being hurt they like Jake more make sense. This would then be pushing her further into feeling forgotten like her haters saying she’s forgettable. Riya could then swoop in being like I got fans for being a villain. She could then feel like she needs to improve herself more and more making her ruin herself as a person to get fan approval.

Yeah they completely missed the mark with her when it came to All-Stars. I really wanted to love Ally in this season just as much as S2, but the writing makes it so hard for me to root of her as most of the time, she doesn't do much. And when Ally does get to do something, her screentime consist of arguing with Jake or worrying what people think about her. Man she could've had an badass arc of not caring about haters or trolls. But even then, she should've had this earlier instead of the Hunter shit. The VR challenge could've been Ally's moment fr. Wasted potential smh.

Yes I agree with you, I disliked Ally before. Mainly because in her season she doesnt do much except of playing games and being in love triangle with Hunter. Then she gets with Hunter and she tries to cooperate with Fiore which is good, but also she is very harsh to Hunter, doesnt communicate with him at all, and she doesnt try to understand him. That time when she said to Fiore that Hunter wants to apologize to her when he never did was weak asf and Im glad it didnt work. Also Ally is so insecure and always want EVERYBODY to like her when we all know it is impossible and she does not even like herself. This type of people are mostly miserable people that project their issues with self-worth and self-image to others, like she did to Hunter. Then she sings about hating him when he supports her fully, she doesnt listen to his and Tess advice after another sweet and sugarly coated scene of them talking, when it seems that they made up the conflict between her and Hunter and that she will finally start acting decent... And if she start acting decent, even if she had to betray the "heroes" which I understand was a logical move, because she was the least liked person in the alliance and this time it actually matters because she will be voted out by heroes right before finale (unless she gains immunity, which she never did as far as I Remember), she listened to RIYA of all people. She is so naive and easy to manipulate because she listens to the people that she should know are bad instead of friends, and also she does evetything to impress her HATERS (even Yul said he left some of those comments, and she cares more about YUL than Hunter or winning the Tiktok challenge???). I didnt disliked her that much before but in All Stars when I see her true colors its just awful. I would hope that she will grow enough to stop caring about others' opinion on her if they dont want good for her, but not in this way... And on top of that, she left Jake to die. So saying that she gets much hate just because she left Jake to die is foolish, it was just the final straw & Jake was right about her. I know Jake was also a dick to her because he was jealous of Ashley just like she was jealous of Aiden. The difference is that Jake is aware of the fact that he was bad and he wants to change. She has always annoyed me since the first episode of All Stars ngl I'd thought she would get better throught the episode, I was rooting for her to do more interesting stuff, but she would just always complain and do nothing, and as some others said, her arc came too late + it wasn't what I expected, I'd thought that she wouldn't become (or try to) become a villain due to Riya's manipulation, I would've loved to see her being neither a hero nor a villain and just her doing her own thing, but as she currently stands, I absolutely despise her, more than Riya and Yul, because at least Riya is like somewhat playing a character trying to be evil and the worst person and Yul is simply a terrible person. I wish Ally would've had her arc sooner or something like that, she is definitely a waste of character slot, instead we could've had literaly any other participant back and it woul've been even more interesting than her, I really wish that Drew was in the season instead of her (dang it now I'm brainstorming a whole ass AU about it) it would've also made sense as well, we didn't see almost anything related to Drew and Ally not participating could've been because of her relationship falling apart with Hunter, her not being on it would've developed so many characters, like holy shit sorry for this rant but I need her GONE

I honestly stopped liking Ally the episode she was bitching about Hunter fighting with Fiore. Everyone in season 1 was fighting with fiore, and Ally said she watched season 1 with the vr tech, so why did she ignore the fact that hunter wasnt fighting with a child but rather a demon. Plus all the jake and ally beef STARTED with Ally. Yes she was trying to be nice with jake and he came off very standoffish, but at least he said "not right now please" and he was already going through shit with Tom and Aiden, got dome having James insult him, then feeling like Ashley was abandoning him for Ally, and instead of staying nice and juat saying "fine, whatever" she just straight up pulls a james and insults him adding fuel to the fire. Before she was my favorite character. Just a normal girl fun to watch . Nothing special about her but that is the charm she had of being a normal gamer girl inside of a show like survivor. After she is still my favorite character. But for different reasons. Her switch was reasonable. I didnt like her in ep 15 but in ep 16 she is getting more interesting. I dont se her as a villian. I see her as a girl with rivalry towards jake and a girl playing on her own. If she didn't switch she whould be the first eliminated after all the villans are eliminated. Same thing if she is a villian. She plays gir herself seing greet having an alliance with the heroes Ally does not know if she can trust her. The only problem i have with this Villiam arc is Riya. WHY RIYA. If ally realize herself what riya told her it whould have been 100 times better . Riya fells out of place and if ally sees that riya lied she is eliminated . Ally is 100 procent in the top 4 but if she does not win the challenge then shes gone in ep 18

I can defend the writing of Ally's actions in recent episodes to an extent. Now, I'm not a big Ally stan. She can be pretty irritating and cringy ij my opinion. Which is also what I think is the best argument for saying she's a bad character. I can also definitely understand people disliking her for the whole bear incident, however, I don't think a character doing something bad makes them a bad character. And while it could've been set up better and earlier, it at the very least was set up. And although this direction for her character came a little suddenly, at least it's *a* direction for her character. Aside from the whole obsession of her online perception she basically had nothing after Hunter left, and one plot point like that isn't enough to justify her being in the top 7. Then as for her finally flippong in the vote, I don't know why the hell people say this was a dumb strategic move, because it's not, especially from her perspective. Sticking with the heroes after getting confirmation that there's a duo (which is the majority of the alliance) that will prioritize each other over her is what would be an idiotic decision. Which I think is what they were going with with the whole plot point of Aiden saying he prefers Jake over her. It still would've made more sense if she had any grounds to feel betrayed by this. But regardless, while a little stupid, "how can someone like *Jake* over me?" is not out of character at all. In addition, she has a (to her knowledge) genuine ally from the villains alliance (and even Grett offered to work with her).
