It had a few other OPs and EDs iirc but it's always the 1st ones that are the most iconic, like One Piece's We Are. That “gun store” was a shooting gallery store. It is cliche for hot springs towns to have small carnival game like activities that you can enjoy after a bath in the nearby town. You’ll see it in “thermae romae novae” which I highly recommend, the last 5 minutes of every episode is the author walking around hot spring towns and it makes me so homesick. Also, onsen gai have strip clubs, but that’s dying out, it was more of a Showa era thing.

You should definitely check out "orb: on the movements of the earth". It is usually called Poland saga due to its similarity to vinland saga (though this is about challenging the church on the earth being the center of the universe during the inquisition period). It is animated by madhouse, with 2 continuous cours finishing the entire story. It began airing in fall 2024, and it will therefore have the second cour in winter 2025.

@@raec5426 well, that's true, but I suppose I more mean it's not like much happened in episode 13 it was a very "we have one more episode oops" kind of finale, where if they ended it on 12 not much would be different, since 13 is a very noncommital "ending the prior plotline and lets continue to the next" kinda end, so may as well of ended on 12, functionally speaking (i'm not saying that would be preferable or unpreferable mind you, just a thought) not that that's a negative thing though, I didn't mind either season finale here or for Heavenly Delusion to be clear. i found both tasteful (Heavenly Delusion's more-so but Dandadan isn't a very psychological series to begin with, so It's a bit of an unfair comparison)

Nahh, Heavenly Delusion put that ending right. Give you some resolve and satisfied enough but leave you to bigger question which make you crave more. I dont get why people upset with that ending. Its like people for some reason think they already know whats happened actually before and between the timeline, with so little clue from the anime. Heck, most people ive seen online dont even notice so many details to fill the story for themself.

If you guys want to catch up on it, I would recommend the first season of the Ranma 1/2 remake. It was directed by Konosuke Uda who worked on the first 276 episodes of One Piece and animated by Studio Mappa. Many of the original cast members reprised their roles from the 1989 series. I was very impressed by it in terms of the animation quality and overall more faithful adaptation of the manga. Despite getting good reviews not many reactors seem to be following it and I would be interested on your take on an old school series.

As a manga reader, this is a terrible spot to end the season. After the gator scene, there are no more weird momo assault scenes in the series, and it just leaves a bad impression ep 11 ending would have been great focusing on the love between momo and okarun. on the bright side, we don't have to wait too long for season 2

There is one technically (the “I farted scene”). I don’t fully count it tho cuz it’s horrifying in a very different way. cannot wait for that scene to be adapted. I def would have rearranged the order of events to end with the door opening at the house and left the gators scene for the next season instead.

The real mistake was calling it Season 1 & Season 2 when it's clearly one season that was just split for production reasons. People would be talking less about an odd ending like this if they knew it was only the first part of a larger whole. As a season finale, though, this episode kinda sucks.

I think what people keep getting mistaken with is that this isn’t the end of season one. It’s the end of the first cour. It will be a 24 episode season just split into two parts. Fire force did the same thing with season 2 of the anime

0:16 it is cour 2, not season 2. Thats why it is just half a year away, they started working on the last episode of cour 2 right now. Western streaming services often confuse cours and seasons. Cour or season is based on how decision to make continuation is made more or less. Season is basically 1 project at studio and it is decided that it will have particular amount of episodes, during production of season main staff is more or less locked in(director, ost, character designer and etc). So, they basically made pre production for the whole season and use the same info for different cours of seeason. Popularity of the show would not change how many cours season of the show would have, it is set in stone. Production of new season on the other hand is a new project at studio, staff might change and etc, decision to make another season is based on popularity and drive of investors to continue sponsoring production.

Looking at the Manga they _could_ have cut it before the "gator" scene, but it wouldn't have had created as much urgency to know what happens next. So despite the uncomfortable cliff hanger, people will be encouraged to wait the 6.5 months for the next cour or seek out the manga to see what happens.

Because I read like 50 chapters before watching the show ik the story is great, but this was such a bad place to end it lmao. Not only are they not beating the allegations, but also narratively it's just a very awkward part to end on as a cliffhanger. Still a great series tho, just wish it was advertised as a 24 episodes season with 2 cours becase calling only this batch of episodes season 1 is a bit dumb. Even giving it one more episode probably would've made for a better experience and a much less sus and pretty bad cliffhanger

Pretty disappointed with the episode with the manikin stuff while it will probley go somewhere currently it feels like a wast of time (edite: in the context of this being the last episode of the season it feels pointless if they did 1 more or one less episode it would be alot better i think it was a poor choice to end the season) and while its better then the momo Aira stuff because okarun being insecure is a character trait of his its stiill annoying. Ontop of the implied SA like episode 1 I get it the show is very goofy so to establish the aliens as a serious threat using a very serious thing like threat of SA is a good idea but the more they get naked every arc and keep using SA as a threat loses its original point I get its a ranchy show but its also kinda annoying in the way it does it hopefully were past the we do sexual shit to hook readers so the manga and keep running that alot of manga do.

If you’re anime only, do not presume anything about what’s important and what isn’t. 1) mannequin is very important for this arc 2) Okarun’s insecurities are important to his character growth, don’t watch shows about teenagers if you dislike it. 3) I’m also not fond of the implied SA, but there’s more to the story here.
