The issue Scimandan: the problem is that When your trying to get actual information on these kind of subjects, Many "Creationist" is former Evolutionist. Many "creationsit" scientist shun evolution totally from there mental frame. (the issue of being lied to about one thing, and assuming its all a lie). (evolutionary whistle blowers). With noah's ark issues you actually have to use sections from evolution that is the most credible (best solid evidence). that best explains noahs ark. Noah's ark actually does not have to collect all species. Noah's ark is lower down the evolutionary tree. example: we made 250 different breeds of Dogs that at one time came from a single breed of dog. So many land, sea, and air animals does have a common ancestor. also if you add adults then you run out of space really fast. So if we tried to do this today, Common ancestors, and smaller species of the animal we are trying to preserve. Today we can go even smaller, by storing the DNA< and needed parts on much smaller scales. The problem is that people dismisses an idea, until they themselves can produce the same results. Today many things in the bible as a whole seems fantasticly immpossible until our modern technology catches up. We study a biological process, and replicate that process into technology. We study in science how we can turn technological advantange into biological as well. Example: A being in a higher dimension has control over the lower dimensions. We today can create our own universes inside lower dimensions of space. paper, 1 dimension of space, a computer 2 dimensions of space. we create a 3d image on a computer by combining 2 dimensions together. Because we are in the 3rd dimension of space, we can't produce 11 dimentional results. Any miss-understood technology is viewed as magic, any biological function miss-understood is also viewed as magic. if a higher dimesional anything tries to enter our dimention it would destroy the universe. like us humans trying to enter a piece of paper. So a higher dimensional being has to do what we do now. creating a bridge between the two dimensions. i can type on this computer by using such a bridge. (technologically), but the princible is still sound. It's like taking a cup and placing it in the water, and assuming whales does not exist because there is no whale in the cup. This is the same argument flat earthers makes about the earth. flat earthers only sees less then 1%of the round of the earth, and thinks its flat. we don't have proof that we are the only lifeform in the universe, nevermind 11 dimensions of space. The problem with "Creationist" is that it's mostly dismissivce arguements, but does not give a scientific alternative.

What is all that about - it's not a metaphor for anything! I think these stories were actually written as what they thought was real history and pretending that they are metaphorical is just "excusagism". Quite apart from that: different sects interpret these things as having different messages - how is it that the all-powerful God of the universe doesn't even seem to have the power to communicate clearly; why do we have to argue about any of this at all?

When young earth creationists claim "Noah only took one of each family not every species" that means all the million of species we see today, evolved over just a couple of thousand of years. So consequently they must believe in extreme rapid evolution.
@h14hc124
@h14hc124 Ай бұрын
Creationists wildly underestimate the time required for evolution, but they do often talk about a concept where animals are allowed to 'evolve' from a common ancestor of the same "kind", so dogs can evolve from wolves, and Darwin's finches are allowed to evolve from parent finches (of course, humans are not allowed to evolve from apes), and they claim that all the DNA required was already present in the 'parent' kind, because god put it there or something. it's an obviously desperate attempt to address the fact that we can see evolution occur in real time in bacteria, but we never directly observe a multicellular species giving rise to another one, and of course that's because evoution is a painfully slow and directionless process.

He is highly knowledgeable in the area of superconductors, but has no clue about evolutionary biology or anything else related. He's just as ignorant as the next layperson. As an Aussie, it occurs to me that none of our native land mammals would have fit the biblical definition of "clean" and therefore be ok to eat. This would be true for quite a few other places as well. Why would God, who apparently made all of these animals and the native people who ate them, neglect to make sure they had access to clean animals? I'm pretty sure Indigenous Australians and New Zealanders didn't only eat fish and birds.

Well, if you believe in the flood, noah took either 7 or 14 of every clean animal and then sacrificed some of each clean kind after getting on land again. Maybe the trek afterwards for the few remaining clean animals was just too much for them and they didn't make it back home. Or it's all bs, which i am more inclined to believe

The Jackalopes and the unicorns were on board, along with the centaurs but Noah got peckish in the middle of the night and unfortunately the jackalopes and the unicorns became breakfast, lunch and dinner. The centaurs escaped by the skin of their teeth. We know that because in a story from the Orthodox traditions a saint was looking for another saint and he met a centaur along the way who told him the saint the saint was looking for was holed up in a cave. That's why we still see centaurs today.

Most of the literalists have a phycological fear that Christianity will fall unless everyone accepts that God told Moses the Genesis story meaning everything has to be created 6000 years ago. Because if you don't literally believe it, then you won't literally believe everything else. To them, everyone must be robots who see the bible as a giant program that must be followed to the letter.
