They are different. Allen runs the offense Kyle likes. Dobbs has more physical traits and can handle the offense when it breaks down. I'd go with Dobbs as the backup.

I recently saw a comparison of Mahomes after 7 and Brady after 7…. I believe Brock will be a damn good comparison as well at 7. I’m curious to see if Brock can continue to exceed expectations and maintain ELITE status. Great call on the O-Line!!!! Something he can’t control but does make a HUGE difference. My main man Puni is here to change that!

Long term - let’s see the guarantees because anything less than success for him and he may bounce. 🤷‍♂️ just a concern there. I like that they restructured Collins too. That means he’s all in and 5+ mill will go a long way.

As a quarterback your job is to get the ball into your receivers hands or get it to where the receiver's hands can catch the ball If you're doing that you're doing good job whatever happens after that it's the receiver's fault. The throw that turned into a fumble by Dobbs was fantastic. The throw that turned into a interception from Brock purdy was perfect. Couldnt have thrown it better.

Both were solid decisions and things happen. But I am not concerned at all by either of those plays. Especially given how dominant Purdy has been

My biggest concern with this team is the obvious greed. Aiyuk, Williams, and Bosa are great to elite at their respective positions. But, to me, you have to finish the job before you can expect to be paid. My hope is that Purdy realizes that you don't NEED $60 million a year. He can live a lavish life with $30 million a year. I get that guys need to get what they can while they can. However, if he wins multiple Super Bowls, maybe even an MVP or two, he stands to make A LOT more in endorsements after football. A lifetime of incredible income is a better investment than taking more than you need and ruining your chances of success. That was the real greatness of Tom Brady.

Purdy has already helped this team out by his current contract. While I don’t think Purdy is greedy , if he has another dominant season, I don’t know how he will accept less than 50 million annually. Most likely in a fully guaranteed contract.

Literally everything you said is what I’ve been saying. The whole weapons thing still makes me mad. The only qb who doesn’t depend on his skill players is mahomes. We know he’s not mahomes. You think Jalen hurts is as good without aj brown, d smith or last year swift? Absolutely not. lol it’s just like how a point guard depends on the other players for their stats, especially assists. This is the same thing, so many of Brock’s “stats” depend on the other players on his team. Just like every other qb in the league. Burrow had skill players during their Super Bowl run, Josh allen, Jalen hurts had skill players and an elite o-line. It’s just ridiculous people say these things to bring him down. Frustrating.

Mahomes doesn't depend on the skilled players around him😂😂!! besides the fact that Mahomes does have a great offensive line in front of him to protect him compared to the 49ers offensive line in shambles to protect Brock Purdy... By the way that wasn't an interception. I mean not really. It was a ball that should have been caught but the receiver bopped it and then got caught by the other team. He literally threw it directly into his receiver's hands. 😂

If you really pay attention to cowing, he has a smoothness to his game. He is a really good route runner. I think he’ll surprise people towards the end of the season.

Preseason losses, interceptions, etc. really makes no difference. How many teams have lost every preseason game yet still ended up in the playoffs? Not even worried about Purdy.

No offense, butvBrandon Allen is slightly better than Dobbs. Allen knows the offense better and hits the receivers in their routes more consistently as opposed to Fobbs who holds the ball too long creating busted plays. My opinion.

Dobbs I think actually did pretty good staying on schedule. When he did run the play was often dead if but for his legs. But I don’t think Allen is bad as a backup and I get where you’re coming from. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Been watching 9ers for six decades. Brodie is legend, Montana easily the best, then Young, Purdy/Garcia next. I expect Purdy to climb the ladder. How far... ?
