I absolutely agree with the off season thing. It’s good for business. You have time to build up or create stories in a partially structured level before engaging them on live tv. The wrestlers/athletes take some time to take a well deserved rest and spend time with their families after the show of shows. It also gives a plus factor of sport vibe to it which is cool. And of course the hype for when the season starts again will be immeasurable. It’s good for business believe it or not. PD: If an offseason happens,the draft could also be done right before the season starts,so real changes can be made for the brands👍🏻
