look into Saccharin, C. Everett Koop (as outgoing Surgeon General), Donald Rumsfeld. The FDA tried to ban it 7 times and were blocked by congress because of corporate profit. They opted for a label instead: "“Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This product contains saccharin, which has been determined to cause cancer in laboratory animals.”". Eventually they just gave it all up and got rid of even that label.

Not that any of the sugar alternatives, i.e. artificial sweeteners are really good for you (Body still craves real sugar so often end up eating more. Studies have shown increased weight gain & increased risk of diabetes, though are those folks just more sensitive? Chicken or the egg argument.), but at typical doses, don't appear to cause cancer in humans. As a child, or even adult, did you read the actual study? Did you realize how much saccharin (aka Sweet n' Low) they gave those lab rats?! Approximately 3% of their body weight daily; for a human to consume similar amounts would be equal to ~800 diet sodas a day! Also rat urine chemical composition differs from that of humans so don't get the same reaction, why they didn't see increased urinary bladder cancers in humans. That label was added in 1981 & removed in 2001. Recent studies have even shown variations of saccharin may be used as cancer treatments. It binds to and inhibits an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase (CA) IX, which helps cancer cells survive in the acidic, oxygen-poor microenvironments of many tumors. Not all dyes are carcinogenic but most of them are, there are only a few synthetic dyes that are truly safe for consumption. Synthesized dyes (natural dyes made in a synthetic process) on the other hand are almost all completely safe for consumption but are often not as color intense as synthetic dyes and more expensive

Pardon me, red 3 and blue dyes are also used in mri. I have allergies and what they are not saying in a humans life you only get 3 reactions on the 3x We die. None have warnings .

Gadolinium (Gadavist) is the most common contrast agent used in MRI. It can be nephrotoxic, but it is colorless/clear & does not contain any of those dyes or any preservatives.

It isn't sugar, it's high sucrose corn syrup. The USA pays farmers to not grow certain crops, I think sugar is one of them

At least labels now indicate added sugars in the breakdown of the carbohydrates contained in products. You can read & chose not to purchase/eat these items. Fyi - people will still have access to sugar & can sweeten what they consume, just like people adding table salt to their food.
