THANK YOU MIDNIGHT SPECIAL "The Bee Gees travelled to Los Angeles to record Life in a Tin Can. However, it was unable to prevent a commercial decline with the album criticised for a lack of innovation.[citation needed] Despite its low sales and poor chart performance, Life in a Tin Can was awarded "Album of the Year" by Record World magazine. It was the first Bee Gees album to bear the RSO label in the US." But you hear that their songwriting quality DOES NOT DROP. Just because people went off of them, or times changed, or whatever the reasons are that sales decline, the Brothers Gibb did not stop writing quality. They are consistent. They are wonderful songwriters, and true craftsmen. Honestly. I rate them higher than Lennon & McCartney. There may be some songs that don't quite work in the Bee Gees catalog, but these are rare. They did not issue something that did not have merit to be a song and recorded. Their harmonies and arrangements, the musical talent of Maurice Gibb (who was almost their entire band at one point) and just their songs. Their songs speak for themselves.

The video and audio quality on this is so good especially considering this is over 50 years old. I’m guessing it was originally shot on film then digitized from that, either to 1080P or 4K although in 4 x 3. But it must be one of the better live recordings from The Bee Gees from that era.

I love them all immensely, but they’re is just something for me about Robin. Maybe it’s his vibrato, which seems like a vulnerability, sometimes he seems insecure and timid but when he speaks he’s extremely articulate and witty and I know he’s an avid reader. Not sure if you're aware, but there's dozens of songs the twins had very little to do with, but Barry still gave them credit. Albhy Galuten referred to him as the Barry Gibb Gift Society, because he was giving out credit (or gifts), when some contributed very little.😉
