By doing this you can be the best version of you so it's a win win situation for everyone in your life. We can all be guilty of postponing ourselves and then it can be too late to do anything about it. I for one know all about that, but I still need a kick up the ass every now and again. I can feel hugely frustrated if I don't get an end-product and am constantly setting myself unachievable & unrealsistic targets. I suppose it's who we are but we do have to step away sometimes don't we. I have to say, I'm great at telling others to do it, not so great at listening to my own advice. 😆🤣. I definitely know the feeling of life being on hold... it takes some courage to make the effort to return to life and part of me feels I am not ready, that I feel too vulnerable. I have been justifying that by telling myself I am in a "winter" season emotionally... although one has to be careful not to get so frozen that it becomes hard to reestablish contact, which is definitely a risk for me. I am reflecting on how to honour both my current state of vulnerability, while remaining a participant in life... maybe starting with small things... such as trying a new sour fruit :)

It is interesting that you have lived in multiple cultures. You mentioned Germany, Ukraine, and today Yemen, and perhaps USSR. This makes a person rich in knowledge of people’s character and possesses tolerance in dealing with them. I am curious to know how many languages ​​you speak and is the English that you speak fluently your mother tongue? Do you know Arabic from your living in Yemen? This is such a beautiful comment and I am so moved that you are interested in my background and already know a little bit of my story ☺️ also your reference to Amadeus amazed me 💓 my first word (before mama) was Mozart .. no joke 😅 and the movie Amadeus is one of my all time favorites… 🥰 My mother tongue is German, and I was raised bilingual (German / Russian). I have some Ukrainian friends (two of them live with my parents since the invasion). I learned some Ukrainian words already :) Apart from that, I only speak a little bit of French (but it is very rusty). And from the first school year, I spent in Yemen I picked up some Arabic words and phrases, but not enough to communicate, unfortunately ☺️ And I learned English from school, from listening a lot to Bob Dylan and watching English movies, of course :) Your insights on creativity, life, and how Amadeus relates to the human experience are so profound, and I agree - it’s those deeper qualities that transcend the material world and bind us all. I just watched (again) one of my all-time favorite KZbin videos. It's called: "you're trying too hard, it's not meant to be a strife". The woman who created it was a stranger when I first watched it but I instantly knew she was deeply connected to the things I believe. If you haven't watched it for a while, I am asking you to immerse yourself in that masterpiece's wisdom and spirit. I don't think you will regret it. It is possible that it is more valuable today than it has ever been.
