Set up a fund Wendell! We can chip in to build more. Get the data compressed and stored in real time. And have a process machine dedicated for analysis, so projects won't load up the other machine

Wendell is it possible someone could build a program like folding@home so we can help crunch the data on our home systems when not in use. I have no idea how much work is in a program like that Wendell , But wanted to bring up the idea as you never know what's possible these days unless we ask.

As long as they don't find a Reaper lurking around a Citadel... (sorry, had to) Very nice idea for a project, thanks to AMD and Gigabyte for the sponsoring, and to L1 for their time and energy put into it (and also in the future) Two areas I am intersted in which are intersecting is very nice to see! Looking forward to see more of their work, and maybe some benchmarks/real scenarios running on it.

@Lab Monkey If they appearantly can't spend it on food or shelter for the poor, better put it in science than on weapons, right? and not sure what Sabines work got to do with it though? Astronomy is something different than particle physics, isn't it? But thanks for the link nevertheless

Idea for next episode: In depth analysis of what type of data is being crunched. Integer, floats? Are you compressing your data properly? is it simd'able with AVX? How would a shader in vulkan compute look like? Scientist in these folding@seti's home are pretty bad coders. On boinc they ship you complete Virtualbox VMs to crunch data, because compatibility.... There must be a way to do that more efficient
