Unfortunately small children such as a first grader is brutally honest (I know I also have one of those) but, that is where it's a teachable moment...I tell and have told all my children (I have 4) especially when young that it's RUDE to stare, tease or say mean things, about someone who looks different because you never know what happened to them nor what they are going through. They may not have been born that way. Could have been a car accident, or cancer whatever and no one would want to be PURPOSELY TEASED or BULLIED if they could help it. You never know what can happen to YOU in the future OR me.So guess what? My kids don't stare. They have empathy and will TALK to and have compassion for someone who looks different than them which I am grateful for!!

She's such a strong woman, even though she feels extremely insecure, and is constantly battling death. I find her to be inspirational, because she still chooses to live everyday of her life for her and her family, even though people may make fun of her. I'm glad she's able to overlook those mean people who have nothing good to contribute to her. It's nice to know that there are people in her life who truly love her for who she is like her husband, children, and mother. There are people who commit suicide for things not nearly as life-threatening as what she goes through, but she's strong. She's so strong. I wish all the best for her.

This absolutely breaks my heart! I wish we lived in a world where we weren't so image obsessed. We forget to ask ourselves why someone looks the way they do, what they are suffering with. Many people don't get to have a happy life because people are so obsessed with hurting them for being disfigured. This woman seems like a kind and lovely person, I hope her surgery is a success so she can have a long happy life with her family.

I almost never cry for people...but this woman’s heart is just so sweet and pure, her voice is so gentle... her eyes are beautiful and if you ignore her implants on her face and the stuff around her nose...she is just beautiful all around and it makes me so sad she has to go through this pain

I feel not as bad for her as I do for other people I've seen in these videos, because at least she has a family. She has a husband who sees past her condition, who doesn't care about looks but about what's on the inside of a person - that's true love and not many people are lucky enough to experience that ever in their lives. I don't have an illness, but I'm not happy with my appearance and what would I give for a person who loves me as I am. It would mean the world to me.

In this case your thoughts are about yourself and your self pity about not finding a person who accepts/loves you for yourself. It is best to keep self pity thoughts to yours self.

My dad was born with an avm aswell his ruptured when I was 7 causing him to have a stroke and he almost died from all the blood in his head and By some miracle he can walk and talk a drive and be like a normal father... but he will never be the same he’s “different” and I’ll never have the same father I did 7 years ago.
