Ive personally been on minoxidil for 14 years and 0.025% topical finasteride for 5 months and have kept my hair at a better level than when I was 23. Not saying you HAVE to, just know that there are options at this point to get some growth back. This guy is a great stylist and did a great job explaining everything in detail!

Not sure why most barbers haven't figured out yet, that for receding hairlines, comb forward a small volume of hair and trim it to about 3/16". This will arrange a small "fake" hairline that hangs forward, crafting an overhang that is nearly immune to wind and sweat, thus disguising a hairline more forward.

@@83442handle I can't notice that is thinning, how do you know?
@83442handle2 жыл бұрын
@@wllulu Three reasons; 1. The client said his hair is thinning 2. Dan said his hair is thinning 3. I can see that his hair is thinning His hair line is moving back/He has low density up top and the hair follicles are thinning due to the shortening of the hair's anagen phase via to DHT which shrinks hair follicles over time causing it to look thinner and more brittle and fall out faster. Thats why there is a lot of scalp exposure up top and why Dan said to style the hair forward to cover up the scalp exposure on the crown.

I had huge postcovid syndrome when I could not eat meat, eggs and ate only one bun a day, compensating for hunger with cigarettes. Also a year ago i used accutane for treat acne which affected my hairs and hairline in august i went to barber and did 0 back and sides and around 3 cm on top. After a couple of days after haircut i notice that i CAN EAT. I started eat, sleep, a little bit of exercises and add vitamins. And after 2 month my hair roots become as dense as before and i cut all dead ends and now my hair looks and feels like 1 year ago before. Now i have same hairs and hairline that i had before covid and accutane. male 21 y.o.

If he buzzed his hair now it would expose his scalp far more. Good cut for his thinning hair, Dan is correct of pushing the hair forward covering up the scalp exposure up top due to the hair miniaturization from androgenic alopecia. If he wants to reverse course on his hair thinning he needs a DHT inhibitor(finasteride). Might need minoxidil for growth as well.
