I'm doing something similar with Libre Office Calc. I use a free A.I. Formula Generator to create macros to run everything. With carefully structured prompts, A.I. is teaching me to create spreadsheet programs.

It'll struggle if the pattern is not consistent. If there are enough examples of with and without, it will eventually re-write the formula to look for middle initials.

This is great stuff. It's a functionality that I've been using in Power Query for a while now and I've always thought it odd that it wasn't available in the front end for standard Excel formulas, seeing as only a tiny % of Excel users use Power Query.

@@JJ_TheGreat I have only ever used it to get a clue as to how to write a function call in Power Query if I am unsure of how to achieve what I require. Totally agree that it is useful as it writes a formula that you can update to produce what you require, much better than Cntrl E!

Dear Mynda, Excel Online's flash fill, in the pt-br language, does not even offer a suggestion for the lines below, let alone the possibility of inserting the formula. It only works with the Ctrl+e keyset, and look there. 😁 I'm an MS365 Family Insider and I think it's mean of you to show this wonder that is only available to a privileged few. 😁 Do you have any tips on how I can access this wonderful news, being in Brazil? 🤗
