Your drawings were amazing as usual! I do like seeing screentones used....I'm old enough that I was around when their use was popular [you just couldn't get your hands on them here in the States and the internet didn't exist back then...XD] so it's really cool to see them actually being used! Mandarake definitely gave me American comic store vibes, I've been in comic book stores that are just as fun as this one looked! [and the Star Trek Barbie set I saw behind you when you were checking out the Blythes....kind of surprised me, actually...] So hard to stick to a budget with so many goodies around!

I love how I learned about eras AND watch you draw. I’m not an expert but at the very least I think you were able to make those styles very distinct from another. And while I do love the convenience of digital art. Traditional art is very charming. So glad to see your art again! 🥹

Kimba The White Lion/Jungle Emperor was the very first anime that I watched as a child and was my starting point to a lifetime of the love of anime. Oddly enough, I never read any Manga.

I was hit with the nostalgia beam with this one. The feels T^T 💗and when you were drawing each panel? I could totally see how personal this is MAD RESPECT 🥹 manga is something I love to read too, one of my earliest passions and interest. If you asked younger me what her fav shoujo mangas were she'd tell you it was Gakuen Alice or Card Captor Sakura, now tho I'll say Kare Kano and Please Save My Earth (questionable ik but it's borderline shoujo mangas that got turned into josei) 😂

I truly enjoyed the part when you talked about Tezuka and princess knight, I mostly liked his work on Metropolis and it was a surprise that the guy was more talented than I thought. As a digital only artist, I have so much respect for anyone that uses traditional media like pen and ink and screen tones. I gasped out loud when that ink blob spilled on the eye! I don’t have the courage for drawing with real ink 😂 I would have cried! They all came out great, with nice smooth line art. I tried using a nib pen when I was a teen, and I just made a huge mess. 🥲 You did so well! I really enjoyed this video! It was really cool to see the old techniques and tour the vintage manga. It’s very cool to have information like this easily accessible for English speaking manga fans, so thank you for the great video!😁

Funfact: Almost all German cartoons from the 70s like Hanni & Nanni, Heidi and a so on can be considered as an anime too. Not cause Japanese people call cartoons an anime, but cause back in the day German production teams thought the work Japan did for their own cartoon-scene was so good, that they wrote the scripts and sketched out the ideas and than got a whole Japanese team on drawing everything for them. That's why so many oldschool cartoons from that time look the same as anime from Japan does that was made back then. Also a row of other European productions had been done the same way., not just German cartoons

3:04 In fact Disney's movies inspired to Tezuka to his own style as well Japanese art and other Japanese artists. Hence some of the animals he drew were looking like old Disney movies. Yes, I know the Kimba and Simba debate, but Tezuka owned a lot to Disney for inspire him.

Oh my goodness when you said Kamisama Hashimemashita, I saw the anime from it and I literally have a special edition of the German version from Marmelade Boy in my bookshelf that came out for an aniversary of the original version a few years ago (I always wanted to watch the Jdrama they made from it, especially cause a Japanese musician I like acted in there but I never got to watch it since I was not in the mood to find a subed version on the web somewhere lol) and NANA, I didn't read it but saw thew anime and it is one of my faves! I also love love love Sailor Moon
