I was 17 in 1997 and would say this was pretty spot on. Late 90's is definitely back. I was walking through Primark this past weekend and every other rack I was like "wore that", "had something like that", "remember that sort of fabric". Also the frosted makeup was on point. Icy blues and silvers all the way. I even had a frosted blue lipstick that my mum said made me look like I had a heart condition!

I was 19 in '97 and can say that the 80's were the time of high rise noisy athletic pants and the 90's were low rise. They wouldn't be so low that she couldn't wear them on KZbin, but I think they might be hard to find now so maybe that's why they are high... I was 12 in 1997 so I have a lot of love/nostalgia for this year. You did an amazing job researching and all of your outfits are very accurate. I remember SO many of the magazine ads that you showed in this video--I pored over teen fashion magazines at this time, especially Seventeen. I loved Delia's but it was pricey. Things I had from this video: sheer clothing, a chinoiserie purse, frosty/glittery makeup, Lip Lix (guurrl did you really apply expired Lip Lix in this vid?!), Doc Martens, a Tommy Hilfiger tee, butterfly clips Other things that were very in: Fubu, Jnco jeans, glitter gel, Clueless-inspired fashions/accessories, 70's-inspired styles, Abercrombie, the Gap, khakis. I was 18 in 1997, it was a great time. I was a goth and I wore almost exclusively vintage dresses from the 20's up until the 70's and making plastic skirts and shirts. :) I STILL wear a lot of sheer dresses and plastic/vinyl etc..
