In this video we are traveling to Western NC to fish with my new friend Austin Neary. We met briefly at the Bassmaster Classic and He invited me to fish a two day tournament with him. It was a haul to get there from Arkansas, but ended up being an awesome trip with some epic fish catches! Follow along to see how it all plays out!

Hello Cole, I love watching tournaments. I’ve been a fisherman for close to six decades, I don’t fish fancy, frilly, just what ever works simple with good results. The topic yellow perch came up and I was in a little town in Wisconsin, Wild Rose. They have a little pond called the mill pond. I was killing some time and decided to drown some night crawlers under a float. Long story short, I caught a 2+ pound yellow perch and a local fellow had it mounted and displayed in his restaurant

Your close to Cullowhee NC. By the overflow is a good spot. After you catch a trout or two . If you whistle a long whistle a crane may fly to you . If so toss live trout on boat ramp . Make sure to video her eating. Will be an old female!

That's awesome to see that you drove that far and actually had fun as usual. I hope that one day you'll get to participate in a bass tournament here on Ross Barnett Reservoir in Jackson MS some day. The river bass are absolute brutes here.

My 16 year old som had biggest bass for his tourney this Saturday a d got 17” and finished second to the tourney director that got 9”. Not sure how that works, but it did. Proud of my son for finishing in top 3 2 years in a row and biggest bass 2 years in a row. PS- the director didnt’t have the normal trailer and scales and weighed in private. This is Youth Bass Hawgs and everyone that saw them weigh said they had 6”. And they always win or the family members win, and he’s a preacher. Hmmm
