From being a business owner to managing in the food industry as well as watching alot of shows and books that save businesses I can tell you that it's extremely possible that the overhead for the food and fruit garnishes alone could be a huge impact on profit. Be fabulous but please be mindful of food, establishment overhead and price points. Alot of times in the black community we want people to feel they are getting their money's worth so we over give. Know your worth and Trust in God Trust that your product will speak for itself .. you can give beautiful amazing portions that work for both you and the customer. I'm not sure if she provided bigger portions of food because you advised them, that you were going to make a video on the behalf of her restaurant.... Yet I see why she could be losing more than she making. Her portion sizes are to big for the price she'scharging. Her foid looks very clean, and it looks good. Yet she have to minimize them portion sizes. Also she need to stick to seven items, and marked them to the best of her ability. When she get them up and going, then she should market a platter of the week. I think she is offering to much at one time. When the demand is not adding up to what she is offering. I would like to send my condolences to her and her family. It hurts my soul, to see a parent going through the trauma, and hurt of losing a child, and having to burying them. Out of all your videos, I enjoyed this one the most. The food looked delicious. And your assessments were still honest, while offering improvement suggestions. Perhaps a move into Midtown Atlanta would exponentially increase business profits. Folks in that part of our city generally have a decent amount of discretionary funds, and they are willing to spend.
