As we listen to your voice, sure sounds like the interior noise level is pretty loud. Thanks for the honest review, helped me to change my mind about getting one. Like the looks but I think living with it every day, it's more about the interior and the drive.

I just got back to AR after a trip to Washington and Idaho. Rented a Bronco Sport and drove it over 900 miles. Heck, I liked it so much I'm now seriously considering buying one. It's about the size vehicle I prefer, it handled well, and though I didn't calculate the mpg, it seemed to get good gas mileage. I did notice that the power going uphill was not overwhelming and that on the downhill side it would pick up speed above the set speed. Since "nothing are perfect" I might just buy one.

i’m considering one as well, i’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews so i’m happy to see a positive one and that you liked the drive. sounds like you got a nice test drive 😊

We love our Bronco Sport. The big PITA in my opinion is the huge trough that the wipers live in. We are in Canada, and in case Ford forgot, it snows here. A lot. Digging the snow out of that trough to free up the wipers and to get high defroster action is no fun at all. Other than that, it's an awesome ride!

I mean you *are* supposed to lift them at night so they aren't buried

What are you, an idiot? So it only snows at night then? Dude goes grocery shopping during the day and it snows while he's shopping. Should he lift his wipers EVERY single time he leaves the vehicle just incase.... 🙄@@kenohW

One year in with the big bend. I like the dial shifter. It's an electronically controlled auto, no need to fake some sort of mechanical action. Don't mind the lift gate, I would rather have it lighter and faster. Yes it's noisy and highway speeds. I wish it had memory seats and cooled seats. Also I wish the mpg was better with the 1.5.

Picking up a 2023 big bend for my wife tomorrow! She picked the Bronco over all the other compact SUVs. It will be replacing her 2012 dodge grand caravan as the new family haller. I have a 2022 Hybrid Maverick that I love!

19 months and 16,000 miles here. I’m in my 60s and was used to the rotary knob quickly and don’t even think about it now. While there is some wind noise, I will take that because the windshield angle gives you a better view of the road. Also I have zero squeaks or rattles. Only thing that is a little annoying to me is in winter after driving in snow previous day and garaging. The next time I back out of garage the brakes (rear) are pretty noisy. I love most everything else about it though. Especially the automatic adjusting headlights and the handling.

Not that you asked: but I think its an awd problem on smaller unibody cars. Rav 4s are notorious for this but it doesn't effect anything.

Take it back to your Ford dealer. There is a TSB they can perform to take care of that noise.

Had my Big Bend 5 weeks got 3000 miles on it already. Really liking it. The turbo 3 is adequate but I wouldnt mind having a little more. The turn knob doesnt really bother me. I do wish it had power lift gate. Not sure what Ford is thinking other than cutting the cost?

I've had my Big Bend for 7 months now. The dealer had put a leveling kit and off road tires on it. Looks great but kills the gas mileage. One thing that really stands out is the stability driving highway speed in heavy rains. Outstanding! Back seat is tight, good for kids or groceries and the storage in the very back is small. I knew it going in so that's ok. I had decided I didn't like rotary dials before I owned this car. I had rented cars with the dial and thought it was a pain. Using it on a regular basis is nice though. Full clockwise spin and I'm in drive. Full counterclockwise spin and I'm in park. That's handy! I don't have a front camera and wish I did. I needed to park near construction debris and had to estimate how close I was. Bottom line, I'm very happy with the vehicle. I like the looks, like the way it drives, and am comfortable spending all day in it on trips.

I bought the BL model for the 2.0 engine, higher clearance,and extra suspension options. The rotary dial/shifter is ok-the more I use it, the more I am ok with it. Manual mode on the BL is nice also. Regarding the power rear lift gate option-the only reason I do not like it any longer is that on my Edge, I accidentally hit the button on the remote to open it and with the garage shut, got a nice scuff mark on it. Ugh. So ok with no power rear lift gate. I wish they would have put Sync 4 in it but I am a fan of Sync 3 so I was ok with it. It drives nicely and gets good gas mileage. I also wish Ford would have put Drive 360+ on all its vehicles-they are just good safety features.

im 300 miles in... i agree about the Rotary dial, its been an adjustment. agree on the power gate. a small thing that i have to say is i use an ipod for music and the only place that the car will accept it and see it is in the dashboard plug. other than that i love it.

Everything you said plus why don't we have tilt seats or air conditioned seats at least as an option. And yes, the windshield is way too fragile. I had a rock hit my 22 Badlands and in the 3 days it took to get fixed. It went from the size of a dime to about half the length of the windshield. You know I never noticed that it was noisy in mine. But then again I also had a full-size bronco two-door with the hardtop and that was noisy as hell.
@67L48 Жыл бұрын
First part of the video laments that you can't get the 2.0, more 4WD capability, and the AT tires on the Big Bend ... but that's really the description of the Badlands trim. I think the lack of the 2.0 is a better argument for the Outer Banks trim, which is otherwise meant to be the luxury trim level. Going from OBX to BL gets you the 2.0, but you also have to give up creature comforts to get it ... which is a weird strategy by Ford.

I bought a brand new 23 Badlands 3 weeks ago. On the 14th day at 1,100 miles the transmission locked up on me on the way home from work. Left me stranded. Had it towed to the dealership. The very next morning the service tech got in it, started it up and drove it like nothing ever happened. No fault codes, no CEL. They got no idea what happened to it.

Thanks for the video. Is there a way to downshift this vehicle. I believe you should never start off the top of a hill faster than you want to be going at the bottom. I like using engine compression to hold my speed rather than riding the brakes. This is especially important when the hill is icy. Not being able to control the vehicle this way is a deal breaker, unless there is something I don’t understand about it’s capabilities.
@huntauto2 жыл бұрын
There isn’t exactly a way to hold the vehicle in a specific gear unless you got the Badlands with the paddle shifters. You can switch to sport mode which would hold it in lower gears for longer on the RPM band but I’m not sure if that would accomplish your goal.
@richardkersey89932 жыл бұрын

In the market for an SUV but with better fuel economy. Had an Expedition for years and loved it. To be honest, I will buy a Bronco but I keep debating between the Big Bend and Badlands. It's about the engine for me. Never had a three cylinder and saw reviews that it can be whining or idle a little rough in low rpm. Is this true? It all comes to economics and I can get more add-ons with the big bend and not break the bank but also get a basic badlands with the four. I'm not a big off roader. I would use it for every commute, occasional trips to Lowes, but I like the availability of being able to handle bad weather which we will get in Florida with storms and such. Your review is informative and there's alot of garbage ones out there that don't help.

I dont like the headrest. I had a big bend, so mine does not have the tilt headrest. I had a 2019 fusion before my 22 bronco sport, and it had a tilted headrest on the Base model. I've been trying to find the headrest on ebay or online with little luck, but I absolutely hate the headrest. It hurts my head and pushes it forward too much. I'm 5'4 at 120 lbs
