I Drove an F1 Car...Slowly!! Jordan EJ12 Driving Experience.

I agree wholeheartedly, this is an EXPERIENCE, you don't book this to race the car. You are in a real F1 car, enjoy it it's a special event. Having said all that I drove the mid experience where you get 5 laps bebind a pace car and another 5 on your own. It was a beautiful sunny day, lots of grip and I am a fairly confident driver and I pushed the car closer to its limits and it was amazing. But if you want to experience high speed driving on your own without the worry of crashing a 1 of 1 historic car go and book the F1000 or the Radical (that one is with an instructor) those are also amazing

I'm 6ft 3.5 without shoes on.. Does that mean I can't do it?

Unfortunately not id say - Might be worth giving them a ring though - I was cramped in there at 6ft 2

The track was short. It all depends what you want out of the experience. I really enjoyed it.

It's really limited by the track. The pace car experience I did you could probably blip upto around 120 to 150 on the straight in 3rd gear for a few seconds but you'll be on the brakes very quickly then. It's more about having experience of driving the car. The acceleration was immense and it's so easy to lose it you have to be very careful. But if your an F1 fan go for it! Hard to find a better 'real' experience than this!

I would be massively disappointed with this. Please dont tell me this was the £800 experience? This isnt really a f1 experience at all when some crappy bmw is holding you back. Might as well be a 1 liter polo engine it that f1 car.

@@NickthaGeek it's up to the individual really. This is the pace car experience. It's worth keeping an eye on the price as they have offers on. I didn't pay anywhere near £800 for it. Agree re the speed and size of the track, but then again there's nowhere else I can think of in the UK where the public can have access to drive a real F1 Car. I really enjoyed it

@@NickthaGeek Hahah yeah when I saw this I was like oh yeah finally cause I'm a fan of this era of F1 and the Jordan and was picturing the pace car to actually drive but the guy in the BMW is more like I'm gonna Sunday drive around the track sightseeing with my mom.. Otherwise it looks cool still it's quite an experience to sit in these and drive around.. But imo you can go drive a really fast go kart and still get nice experience with some friends

Depends on your pace. My brother did this experience and the pace car sped up because my brother's pace was spot on so they went faster for him

paying to drive an F1 car and do that sort of track and speed is ridiculously stupid .. that is not an F1 experience .. there’s road cars that would give the same feel of speed and braking .. did you feel the affect of the aero package 🤣🤣🤣

@@steveonimac Not stupid. I would say most mere mortals wouldn't be able to handle an F1 car beyond those speeds. Yes I've been faster in a supercar and a rally car etc but it was the experience of just being in it. Really enjoyed the day!
