I saw Trent Lenkarski at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

There is an old saying that says "A man is defined by his actions, not his words". You didn't just say "I will one day go to every McDonalds in America" and then didn't, like 95% of us. You actually went and DID IT and I think you are a better person for it. We really need more people like you to inspire the rest of us to live our lives to our full potential. It is crazy how many people come and go from this world without ever doing something that actually makes a difference. Your resiliency has actually made me question some things about my own life and I thank you for it. Also good decision keeping away from the soda. That is what kills you. Nasty stuff!

I called my grandma "Nanny," too! Neato. She took me to several McDonald's in the area when I was a kid. Three, maybe four.. could be five of them. Honestly, I have no idea. It was the 90s. Anyway, she was partial to Hardy's and it was often a point of contention between us. Sometimes she'd take me to the river after and that was cool. She'd tell me "now don't tell your mom I made you swim after eating or there's no Hardy's next time." And I'd say, "well, that's fine because I prefer McDonald's," to which she would respond, "that's what I meant."

Honestly, it has always been my dream to use every single McDonalds bathroom. People don't think of McDonalds bathrooms as essential to the American experience but frankly those people suck and I love those fries.

If it weren't for the pictures, I'd think this guy is totally phoney. But when he pulled up the pictures, I just knew this guy did it. I'm so proud of you
