When I modeled most agencies were seeking out young, slim, androgynous white people because they were a perfect "canvas" for any look or culture while darker skinned models were relegated to urban and ethnic clothing lines believing we couldn't pull of punk, emo, and other looks we also wore. Broke my little alternative heart that alt brands wanted nothing but white kids. I hope the photo shoot footage here isn't indicative of the whole brand's ideals.

He mentions that she now works for Xmondo in product testing and development - I believe what Ms. Rosati means is that he has chosen to employ people he knows (and probably respects). I imagine as a product developer she makes more /a more steady income than if she were simply a colorist/stylist.

I’m a natural blonde on the neutral/cooler side with long hair (down my shoulders don’t look at the profile pics from ages ago ahahaha) and once every six months I get some subtle balyage highlights especially in the front and I would love a conditiong/protein mask to tone my hair without using purple shampo because that shit dries the sh*t out of my hair. I tried one from a brand and it did nothing, another one made it too silvery when I still want it to keep it “sunkissed” if it makes sense.

I’ve tried your purple and blue colors and I absolutely love them! Previously I used Arctic Fox. Also love those, but they fade fast and stain my shower. Your dye wipes off my shower so easily and lasts much longer in my hair. You’re amazing! ❤️

Exactly. After working with my therapist (former forensic psychologist who worked with people with antisocial and narcissistic PD's) for 3 years, he will still say how I thought I was a narcissist but I just have normal self esteem. True NPD people pull all the energy from a room. They are scary people. Lots of people have varying traits of it but not enough to cause absolute chaos or devastation like them. It was pretty cute and funny how Brad alluded to his narcissistic traits 😆

Ergo, my dark humor response. I'm like, if you knew a sociopath you wouldn't be calling anyone a narcissist most likely. Especially not yourself unless you've been gaslit and then you would end up in therapy learning that it's not cool to use appropriation in self-deprecating humor because it leads people to diagnose others/themselves because of a 'joke', and then you end up with tons of clients whom genuinely think they're assholes when they're not. And alas in doing so, you learn not to joke about narcissism in that way because sociopaths actually cause relational ptsd, not mild intolerance. But what can you do when society is taught to use self-deprecating humour at the expense of any diagnosable group of people - but use humor and actually call it what it is - a healthy self esteem. Something he would not have...if he had actually met a narcissist. So yes, of course Brad was joking, I think I was laughing at the fact that it is in oxymoron that is in oxymoron in of itself because of what the word narcissism actually means. I feel like my dark humor was made for the therapy crowd of 2020. You get it hahah.

@@jahsehmerlijn8235 I have it cause I had hoped so as well but I’m literally the kind of person who has to use charcoal shampoo all the time and clarifying treatments like every week to even have a semblance of clean hair (unless I wash it every day and then it just feels like straw) and it barely worked one day post wash. Like yeah, if I used a third of the bottle it’d probably work and it’s def a super nice formula I just and I know a lot of people like me just need stuff that’s formulated specifically for oily hair.

For real though, I’ve had appointments that have lasted from opening of the salon to past closing. (Like 11am-5-6pm) I’m sure when I call up asking for an appointment my hairdresser audibly groans when I hang up the phone. My hair is super thick and really difficult to manage, it hates being cooperative and loves sticking to everything and knotting up. He can barely get a comb through it. It takes 3 pots of bleach just to redo my roots and then another 3-5 or so pots of blue to get through my entire head. I swear if I was to reincarnate as anything it would probably be a damned chinchilla. It ends up costing me about A$290 (not including other products I buy from the salon for aftercare) and that’s the cheapest I’ve had it.
