As a woman in her 50’s, I can absolutely attest to the fact that everyone makes mistakes in their early lives. That is what our late teens and 20’s are for, to learn from our silly mistakes. Don’t let bad choices from your 20’s, or 30’s for that matter, define who you are in the present moment. Every day is a fresh start, another opportunity to be the best version of yourself. Glad you shared this Anna.

My aunt tells me the same thing. She had my cousin at 16 years old, dropped out of school, ran away from home, got very badly hurt by a crowd she thought of as “friends,” ran away once more, found some strange man in Morocco, had a shotgun-wedding, and nearly burned every bridge between her and her family - all before her 30th birthday. Now, she’s 66 years old. She’s spent 15 years making amends with her family and last year she earned her doctorate while her daughter earned her master’s degree. She grew up in a chicken coop (I mean *chicken coop* literally) but just bought her own dream home and is happy as ever. She gets to teach what she loves and watch her daughter succeed after a lifetime of mistakes plus the damage-control. She tell me it is NEVER too late. To do ANYTHING. It’s not too late to make changes to your life (whether good ones or bad ones). It’s only too late when life’s over, take advantage of *now.*

Ever since that tough as nails streetwalker escaped from my basement, despite her being manacled to the radiator, I've found it much wiser and fruitful to instead swipe both high school girls who are walking to school in the morning, and freshman coeds who are on their way home after dark. This not only reduces the chances of the girl being the sort who's adept at getting her way out of such circumstances, but the flesh is inevitably much softer and smoother against the blade of my machete

So happy for you, myself and all other women that had the strength to overcome these things. If you’re reading this and you still feel burdened by these things it’s possible to let go, you just need to work on it actively. Give yourself the credit you deserve, whatever you’ve been through you’re here today now and that’s all that matters - tomorrow can be whatever you want to make of it. I’m 25 and have my fair share of trauma and troubles, but I’ve worked very hard the last years to be better and I’m now working with a-list celebs and in the process of buying my first house. The sad thing is a lot of men and people general will still judge you for the things you did in your past even if that’s not even you anymore. For some reason, women are supposed to forgive and ignore a man’s bad past but if a young woman has done some less than ideal things, we get harshly criticized and labeled automatically and not forgiven. People can be very evil in this way, especially if they know they can figure out a way to use it against you and make themselves look better than you. Speaking from personal experience.

When I was young I used to be invited to a “late-night” talk show and I talked a lot of “dirty jokes” I was too young to think of the consequences if being seen by family or other decent friends. I also used to shoot a supplement commercial for boobs and it had still been on tv until I started a decent work in office. Being made fun by whole male colleagues with their evil eyes. We all have past, we can take it as a life lesson, for ourselves and also for other young people. But it’s still very mean if people bring it up all the time. They are not noble just because they didn’t have such past. They are just low class to try every possibility to hurt people.

I have always admired people who were the victims of gossip or shame and stayed in whatever job/church/town. At some point, people get tired of talking or joking about it. I know some men never seem to tire of telling the same jokes over and over for years, so it seems like it will never end, but everyone else gets tired of it. I've seen it happen with women at work and church, and even when I knew the gossip was true and they truly did something wrong (or even illegal), I admired them for continuing to show their face and keep their heads held high when I feel like dissolving into a puddle over minor embarrassments. Eventually it's no longer entertaining to others and we all move on. I hope people have stopped bringing it up for you. We all deserve to be able to move on.

It helps me to forgive myself when I see amazing people like you admit your wrongs in the past, but still choose to move forward. You are not defined by your past! You at any point can change your future by fixing things today!

This makes you even more legit! Who cares what you DID…What you continue to do is all that matters. It’s easier to take advice from someone who has been through certain things vs. someone who has always been a certain way. It helps us understand CHANGE is POSSIBLE! And THAT is one of the MOST motivational things is being an example and allowing us to SEE that people CAN and want to GROW!

We live in a time of much criticism and judgment from people who dare to do it in public and who believe they are saviors of the world. There is nothing worse than disempowering people than telling them directly or indirectly that they are weak and do not have the strength to defend themselves. Your content is excellent and I appreciate it more, as you did a great job in speaking it fluently and showing graceful humility and personality. I want a thousand times more than what you already have in your life. ♥️

I love that you are showing this side of yourself and being open and honest, I am currently 25, lived a very similar past life to yours. I am ready to step up my life. I always felt that I couldn't because I had such a trashy past. I did absolutely crazy things. Hearing your story tells me that I can become the elegant lady I long to be, with having the past that I do. We are not that different. thank you for this video I needed it.

dear Anna, this is my favorite of all your videos because you got so transparent and used your experience to encourage us all to let go of being captive to something or thing(s) from our past: what a great quote you shared”let go of your past and it will let go of you”.

OMG I just started watching, and I can relate! I was on The Bachelor in 2008 and did very well. I was on a short lived show on Bravo in 2015. Then I was on TLC for one episode of My Feet Are Killing Me in 2020. I could crawl under the table just thinking about it. I'm 41 now and much more of an elegant lady. When I look at women now, living trashy and I say hey, let's all elevate, they look at me and throw my past in my face. My last was my past. No one should be living now how they were fourteen years ago! Come on! Times have changed and so have I. I'm glad you can relate to this....you understand what many people don't.

Every time I think I can't love her enough, she proceeds to share more vulnerable information about herself to teach us that we can start over and you can rewrite your own story and recreate your own path. So much respect!!

You are such a “breath of fresh air”! You’re smart, beautiful, elegant, and you’ve lived a life that has given you perspective. As a 20-something, you really didn’t do anything more than most 20-something’s. However, you learned so many lessons that you are now able to pass on to others. Thank you for being honest and showing how you DO control your own life, your own actions and behaviors, etc. You’re lovely!

Hearing her say she was insecure and needed constant validation at that point in her life is so refreshing to hear. I always felt growing up and throughout my 20s that I was the only insecure person and everyone else was so confident and sure of themselves when the reality is the majority of millennials were just as insecure as I was. Seeing someone who is so confident and polished now shows that all of us have the power to live the life we deserve. With consistency and effort, anything is possible.

It takes maturity for someone to speak honestly about who they used to be, especially when they’ve been in the public eye for a long time, and be willing to grow from their past. To show they want to change and own their mistakes and even accidental failures. Respect.

Anna, your timing is literally perfect, I am thinking about my past possibly because of winter depression, and was having thoughts that I couldn’t level up and be with someone of my liking because of it. It’s good to know that no one’s perfect and everyone’s going through the same struggles and that you can’t let the person you were define the person you are. Thank you for this and God bless!

Anna, I think that you are amazing. I appreciate your incredible honesty about your past and your journey getting to where you are today! Most people, including myself, would never be comfortable being so vulnerable to such a large audience. Your honesty is an inspiration in showing others, again including myself, that one can learn from their mistakes and make a better life for yourself. I love the idea of "I am no longer attached to that version of myself."!

I admire Anna's sense of style, but haven't particularly been a fan...until now. This was such a powerful message! Our past doesn't have to define us- it's a life lesson we should all be fortunate enough to learn.

thank you anna for opening up my eyes! now I can tell people‘s energy and especially how female friends uses psychology and manipulation to cut down other people's trees. found out my best friend is not a friend at all. she always put me in the dark while she uses me to shine and get what she wants in life. because of your teachings anna I became aware of people‘s intentions. glad you came and my teenage daughter can learn a lot from you and hopefully will able to break the curse that I was in before. thank you so much !

We all do things sometimes past, sometimes present, and then think "yep. That was me. Wish it wasn't, but it was!" We're all human and the more we're vulnerable, the more we encourage and connect with others by letting them know we are all human! Thankyou Anna!

Being a bit embarressed by things you have done in your past, and not wanting to repeat those, is a sign of personal growth. I have done many worse things than you did on this show in public, but fortunately for me, this was before the time of mobile camera phones. We have learned from it and grown. Not that I don't still embarress myself on occasion anymore, but that's life. Cheers!

Being open about your past mistakes makes you authentic and self-aware, which is a perfect example of having class. It's inspiring to see how no matter where you've been in life, there is always a way to level up and transform into an aspiring version of yourself, so long as you have the desire to do it.🌟

I think the biggest mistake that so many of us make, is letting loneliness affect our decisions about men. We don't just enjoy our singleness until we encounter someone suitable, and worthy, but grab the nearest loser because we don't want to be alone. And it's not their fault, they were just being themselves and we chose them. Yes we did.

Anna!!! Watching you in those clips running around drunk with overplucked brows and a cigarette hanging out of your mouth! Omg girl 🤣 I was 24 in 2010, and I could have told you that those producers hand pick people who they know will act the fool on TV to get ratings. You have done a great job on yourself. I’m even more proud of you after seeing this! You’ve done a great job transforming yourself 💖💖💖

In college I fell in love with a perfect guy, but I thought being 'cool' and 'fun' and 'popular' meant going clubbing, getting drunk and staying out late every night with the crowd (and I thought this would impress him!), but all he wanted was someone to get up early with to go running or to church or to visit historical places, which is what I really preferred as well. In trying to get validation from everyone I ended up losing out on the one person who really mattered and losing those experiences that I would have treasured instead of nights I can't remember and mornings sleeping in being sick.
@EmmeChatterton3 жыл бұрын
I have to add, that was the beginning of my own 'level up journey', I was so depressed I took a semester off school and got a job which was awful but once I recovered I resolved to stop getting drunk, I cut my hair and learned to do makeup online, I invested in a small but classy wardrobe that complimented me and made me look elegant rather than 'fun', and I pursued my own interests like photography and reading and spent more time with real friends instead of just going to random parties to feel included, and most importantly I outlined my dreams and goals and thought about how to get there rather than living in the moment trying to be sexy to impress strangers who didn't even care about me. I never met another guy so perfect, but when I went back to school it was night and day to how I was treated and the quality of people who I attracted as friends and partners.

Yes, i learned to look at my past self with compassion instead of feeling ashame of it, critisizing it. Because that past self of myself was feeling confuse, scared, a young girl who did what she thought was the right thing at that time, and i praise and aknowledge her hard work for giving her best.
