On a fairly long road trip to the northern part of Southern Ontario, I was exploring an abandoned house that I have been wanting to visit for several months.
While I was exploring I discovered that I was not alone and I was faced with my greatest fear when it comes to exploring abandoned places.
Watch to find out what it was and what happened!

The porcupine is less dangerous than you seem to think. He will not throw his spikes at you. It is a fable porcupines do that kind of thing. But it is always best to leave a wild creature alone when you encounter it. This nice little cottage is his home now.

Cool video. It looks like it was a nice weekend retreat style cottage/cabin. All those games , toys etc. are just a part of cottage life. I wonder why it was left like that. The porcupine was the last thing I expected. Nice little, safe resting spot for the little guy

Great video! I think the Creepy Crawler set we had in the late 60's is in my folks old attic. Nothing like giving your kids a hot plate 🤣 It didn't kill us, but we had fun with it. And the oval shaped mirror in the living room is beautiful! So many memories and antiques just rotting away! What a shame! Appreciate the video 👍

Porcupines don't "shoot" their quills. You have to physically touch them to get barbed. 😅 They are pretty docile, and won't bother you if you don't bother them.

I have never seen a porcupine before whooooaa ! Enjoyed the video, but want to know where these lovely parents went - they obviously cared so much for their youngsters so much fun and educational play. Thanks for posting Janice 👵 🇬🇧 xxx

Hi Dave Are you sure that porcupine was alive. I thought it was dead because I didn’t see it move. Are they like possums and don’t move? When you said you faced your biggest fear I thought you were talking about being confronted by squatters. My heart was in my mouth until you showed that animal. I am glad you weren’t hurt. If it wasn’t so messy it would be a cute house. Too bad you didn’t have a chance to make something out of that Play Doh. I remember playing with that as a kid and also Silly Putty. Thanks for sharing this house with us. Stay safe and well.😊

We were staying in the mountains in Colorado in a cabin. My kids and dog went exploring. My son came running screaming an alien was eating the dogs face. They had found a small cave where the dog cornered a porcupine who shot many quills at her. Took long time work to get them out. We still tease my son about his alien encounter. Looks like the house might have been a get away family place.

Porcupines can shoot those quills an inch not your body. They have barbs on them so they just keep working their way into your body. Many dogs have died from chasing these animals.

I’d be careful of whats hiding under the beds make sure you snake proof your pants & legs. don’t mess with porcupines they have quills with barbs if attacked get to the nearest E.R. they can flatten your tires if big enough.

Did the house have a basement? Seems so odd how people up and leave a house like they're going to come back. I had to look it up, but porcupines don't shoot their quills they come loose if something were to attack it. So maybe that will ease your fear in the future. Also, coming face to face with a porcupine trumps finding a person in one of these places? Lol

I just don't understand why people just walk away from their belongings. My son had that creepy crawler machine he had it , once in the 80's and then I found one a couple of years ago for him and my grandsons. Its like an easy bake oven for bugs.

Is this house for child kidnappers to place victims as a temporary hiding place and has been abandoned.?? Because too many children's toys are visible.

I don’t know when exploring a house became a tutorial for all the junk left inside, but just explore the house. No need to teach us how to play the games inside. We can also see everything with our own eyes so you don’t have to tell us what everything is. Too much talking is just annoying. Other than that, it was a cool house to explore.
