Watching him cry made me almost. I was diagnosed with MS April 2023 after my left arm and left leg went numb and “clumsy.” I couldn’t even military press a 25 lb dumbbells without my left arm flailing. I kept going to the weight room despite having to lower the weights. As I kept doing it, one day the flailing was no longer present. Eventually I hit PRs even! I remember after finally being able to bench press a plate on each side again for the first time months, I cried on that bench. I laughed and cried and smiled. My spotter thought I was just wiping sweat off my eyes but I was crying tears of joy. This video reminded me of that moment.

I took a 2 week break and benched 320 when i couldn't break 295. Squatted 405 when i couldn't break 365, deadlifted 425 when i couldn't break over 385. I knew rest was important, but this made me aware of fatigue. Iver been working out for 2.5 years non stop struggling to lose weight and get strong. Lost 84 pounds and raised my lifts from 95 bench and 125 squat in my journey. I wish the best to all that are still amid their journey, you got this bud. Most of the time you have to be your own coach and cheerleader, so leave out the ego and most importantly, the self doubt outside the door, and you'll become the person you always wanted to be.

That third bench was really impressive. For those who don't know - in the USAPL (and I think most PL federations) it's not a set amount of time that the bar needs to be on the chest before the "press" command. Instead, the bar needs to be motionless on the chest before the head ref gives the command. I felt her command timing was very honest. Most lifters lose composure waiting under the bar that long but you didn't. That lift was well-earned, congrats.

There's a great fitness influencer, and then there is a fitness influencer who tears up and makes you tear up. Will you are the best!! We need a shirt that says "Don't limit your challenges, challenge your limits" Gives me chills.

I took a break from lifting and fitness channels for a few months. I come back and I see your video with not just sick new editing and transitions, but also you winning your first meet! So proud of you, man.

I love this guy. This video made me cry. I know what it’s like to be harder on myself than anyone. People compliment me and comment on my work professionally, etc and it’s almost as though I need to be struck by lightning to be proud of myself. You crushed it Will. You’re always crushing it.

Will, you reminded what I miss most about powerlifting: the camaraderie at meets. I only chose my first lift, then let my most trusted training partner choose the weight on the second and third attempts (I never knew how much was on the bar). You've got a lot of room to grow on the deadlift, your last one was the best, as you kept your head behind the bar. Good video, keep posting!

I legit almost cried watching this. I've been following you waaaay before you blew up on YT, when your subscriber count was private, when you use to post videos with Ollie... You've become one of the most respected fitness influencers in YT, and the world. You rock dude. Insane seeing all the progress you've made these years, and I'm happy that I got to watch all of it. God bless!

Man this is one of the most well edited and paced videos I've ever seen. Immediately got into the action and managed to maintain that for 6 minutes and not only that, it was all in one take and didn't feel faked or overly edited. I didn't even realize I had gotten that far in because I lost track of time.

This past weekend I completed a 100km mountain ultramarathon. 16 hours and 50 minutes of mountain trail running with almost 3000m of climbing. I was one of the last finishers (and more than 115 people failed to finish). I know exactly how that squat felt, Will. Those emotions are so visceral. Well done.

Hey Will, just wanted to say that you absolutely motivate me. Being a dough boy growing up and busting my ass to lose weight to join the Marine Corps I feel you on a personal level. When I got out of the Marines I went from 195lbs to 245lbs and felt like ending it all due to depression and PTSD. I know it's cliche but your videos have been such a HUGE help for me to get back to 198 and even sign up for my first powerlifting competition this July and get my ACE personal traines license. I just want to say thank you for simply being you, you're awesome man. Now keep grinding and let's stay on it 💪🏾

I watched this before leaving to attend hip hop classes. It's something I wanted to do for almost 15 years but I just kept telling myself I couldn't. To see you show up for your younger self in this profound way really helped me realize the win is just getting yourself in the room. A true declaration of self growth, belief, and a hunger for feeling connecting within. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope more people can get themselves in the rooms of discomfort.

This was so wholesome to watch and seeing how much you improved and seeing you let out your emotions for hitting that Squat man. I remember when you first tried to attempt that and you decided to keep that failure in your video and not cut it out is a way to look back on what you need to improve on and keep on pushing yourself to reach your goals. I was so happy for you man hitting your goal and so happy to see your progress in your fitness journey. Thank you for being an inspiration and thanks for all the great videos you put out.
