Remember, don't pearl so far away, sometimes you get dropped in the time it takes your pearl to land, pearl 10-15 blocks away You should practice your mechanics, play sword kit for better spacing, play nethpot for better aim, and play shield gamemodes to get better shield disabling Something that helped me alot was analyzing high tier player's playstyles I recommend watching Jokingggg (lt2, basically ht2 in his prime), he uploads most of his tierlist fights, the videos are quite long, so you might get bored, and definitely watch the HT2 test vs. Swight

i'm a lt3 in smp pvp (also a lt3 in pot, nethpot, crystal, and sword) personal tip, atleast during your tier tests you shouldn't play with any fire on your screen. I know that it is low fire and it might be better for content creation purposes but basically any ht3+ plays with no fire or extremely low fire (like 1/4 of yours) another thing I noticed, you tend to throw buffs upwards even when he is very close to you. you should only do this when he is atleast a pearl away from you. the alternative to this is sneaking and throwing your pots down (this gives 1:25 of your buffs, as opposed to 1:20 that you get without sneaking.) Not sure if you know about this, but there is this thing called single mending for example, if at the end of the fight you have 0 dura on your helmet but 200 dura on the rest of your set it is effectively a waste of dura, that same 200 dura on each piece could be spread out into 150 on everything including your helmet allowing you to fight way longer. i'm not sure if this would give you the win against your tester, but if you are able to do it and last longer it'll definitely raise your testers opinion on your skill. A HT3 Player Freekee Fang's tutorial is good, but you don't need to know about the agro mending stuff unless if you are significantly better then the player you are fighting

lt3 neth and ht4 smp ( robbed of lt3) agro more. the testers job is to assess your skill u can’t show it if u just try and survive. play to win and show ur skill not to say u survived the round

Try pearling lower to the ground when you need to run and heal. Even though you'll be closer to him, it will take less time for the pearl to land allowing you to not risk popping a totem. Also, when you heal your armor, take off the chestplate and leggings, if possible. It's best to prioritize the health of your helmet and boots due to the overwhelming amount of damage they take

@KDude2 I usually don't play kits with totems, so I don't normally worry about that. I'd most definitely suggest strafing a lot more during the fights to make him have to readjust his aim (I used to main this kit. I'm a bit of a nerd)

You dont wanna tripple gap in the beginning of the round gapples give 4.5 saturation per and you start with 1 saturation.
