Real pro tip for water. put the bench (not bot) in the water and and long as the watering can is in you hand, and you are in the water also, it will refill while you are in the crafting menu and you can reuse it until the slot fills up with water, then you just change the active inventory slot you are using. WAY faster than using the bot and the well.

@ScrapMan Life hack for making batteries: Upgrade the controller to the max (it will be able to rotate 10 bearings) Create a 2x large battery generator. Stack of 5 bearings for each generator. (so you will need 12 bearings in total) Connect both generators to the battery box. You will be producing batteries faster than you are using them up.

Even faster way! Stack 3 bearings with a controller, then after a while, change rotation of the generator bearing, it will glitch out and produce about 1 battery in 10 seconds. I got a whole chest filled in 5 minutes like that... but its a glitch...

Scrapman: no spoilers just a tip. Some of the rock cliffs you are passing by have areas to either drive or walk up with a lift it’s super helpful sometimes

Need a heavier block, like brick, for the bottom of your truck. Lowers the centre of mass. Could slap that extra wheel on the back of your truck to hook to the alternator. Slapping a bearing to a powered wheel could cause it to pull, but it would work

Idea for the alternator: put a set of gears next to each other and the last gear is connected to the alternator, make it so the last gear has to spin like 100 times for the first gear to spin, then under the first gear with most torque put the lift, if the lift has infinite torque that means you can have intinite batteries.

I wholeheartedly recommend the "Remove Fake Trees" mod from the workshop! The default forest is just impossible to navigate, even when you cut down the trees you can, as the fake trees still block your view pretty much all the time.

On the generator column unwire the top bearing and hook it up to the engine instead. That way you will have passive battery generation all the time, but your engine will add a whole ton to it when you start driving (because gas engines are so fast).

if you weld it then leave a block under it you can delete since you cant lift the battery. also it need to be a loose object you hammer into the HQ. oh yeah. remember to turn off the battery generation when you go into the hq or it will freak out when you exit

With the logic gate in there, it will turn on as soon as he exits no matter the state when he left. Agree you need to be careful welding the battery to your vehicle. It's hit box is a little bigger than it looks, and everywhere that it makes contact with your vehicle will need to be destroyed to get it off your vehicle.

the alternator setup is stable up to 5 bearings powered by the controller, i had 6 and it spaghettified, but 5 never had isdues.

The wolves and bulls cant get through T3 metal but the bears can after a lot of hits. I'm not sure of T2. Raiders can climb over things that are 5 blocks high but not 6. If you use the weld tool you can get the battery out of the quarry with out having to drive down there.

If you need to find an oil pond there is a desert biome near his house with one. If facing the front of his house is north, then head west-northwest to find it.

If you stand where your crops are and look at Bill's house, lets call that North. Go Northwest from there, should be a nice little oil pond next to a rock messa in that direction somewhere. Go explore a little. ;)

If not sure to keep or remove the sidepanels of your truck, maybe you can keep em and use a ladder on the sides as well , like you did in the back. And maybe put a bed on it , in case you die on your adventures.. I have my farmland on a small piece of island near Bills house. In worst case i have 2 wolfs that slowly swimming to my island, and i can kill em in the water.

I haven't seen bears at any wave of level 8 3 bears at wave 1 level 10 No idea about level 9 Tier 3 metal is immune to bulls and wolfs, but not bears. So 40 top tier crops is the max, probably 80 low tier, and 60 mid tier, but not 100% sure on low and mid, so 40 soil with a metal 4 fence is completely safe, as long as it is spaced well from the crops

Also, the raids cycle the waves from 3 back to 1, at the level that the crops determine. The only thing that effects the level on Crashlander is what you plant and how much of each.

truck looks good 👍you can also use your trick from trailmakers on the alternator by using a sensor always on. When playing custom games you dont consume any paint.

for the alternator, you can go up to 5 powered bearings in a row. 6 makes it unstable and it can do the scrapman glitchy spaghettification. but 5 never did for me, and it makes a battery in 30-45 seconds.

Make the chest down the middle as the frame of the truck like a floor, generator can be integrated too using less blocks or materials.

Okay. Every time i comment i dont think scrap man ever sees it. HOWEVER he made a cargo truck and at the end of the episode he was talking about putting the chests on the outside (which would also make them way more accessible) and he can still carry the battery. He can PROBABLY go for a service/utility truck design (the ones that have lockers/cabinets on the outside irl) i feel this is a great design for what he wants to do. Please like so he sees this if you agree

I think the truck is tipping because all of it's weight aka the metal two is on the outside. More weight in the center might stop it from tipping.

tip : if u have a good engine hook it up to a small pipe gear and that gear powers another gear to power the battery maker put that on ur car so while ur driving u get batteries

I think one of the other guys, Kan or Kosmo figured out you just need 1 paint in your inventory for it to function and it's basically infinite paint. Not a bug, it's a feature of the mod

When you go to the mine take a head lamp so you can see better and mark your paths with blocks or you will get lost. There is an oil pond if you start at bills and head towards the HQ. You will run into a burnt forest. The dessert on the other side of that has an oil pond.

Scrapman you should fill in the sides of the truck and put ladder components on the side like racing stripes. And make your side windows bigger, you might be able to see the seat then. Or raise the seat itself a block.

Please put your alternator on controller hooked to a loop (and-timer-nor), right timing and speed can multiply your batteries generated per minute by a lot - since it nullifies the alternator's resistance ramp up.

one thing i found out with the battery generator is reversing the bearing it is connected to. sure, scrap mechanic physics won’t like it much, and sure, it may be sketchy but it produces batteries at an EXCESSIVE rate. :)

You should try hooking the alternator up to a bearing powered by the engine. considering a real alternator does something similar, I think it was the intended purpose, then again you got that glitch going for you.

build a base hold up by a center piller where you use your lisft to enter and plant the farm around the pillar that way its should keep all other stuff safe specialy as there is no tape bots to shoot the piller

welding battery works.. just be careful not to weld it to ground, like i did.. well luckily that bearing glitch worked and it jumped up.. Also you might want to take backup file before putting battery through HQ door.. my battery vanished at first time!!!

Add a 4th bearing for alternator and attach it to your engine, so that when you drive the alternator gets a little boost
