There aren’t separate teams like there are in the games, there are departments, like someone running rail for the curtains usually won’t also run the sounds, but the SM won’t ever have direct control over anything, they just tell the people who do when to do it (they’re responsible for way more then that, but that’s the fun part) so she wouldn’t bring the head down by herself. Sound cues are usually just run off of a laptop with some minor automation built in Lighting works so much different. You basically need to learn a completely new operating system and you need a dedicated control surface that can send and receive DMX and dimmer signals. It used to be a giant wall of dimmer switches that were operated manually, but I don’t think there’s a single house that still uses them, even if they’re still installed. I’ll say it’s accurate to have the curtains separate from the electrics separate from the LX set piece, and the fact that the rail has locking mechanisms on them. Usually they’re counter balanced so they don’t move on their own when the brake is off, and they won’t have locks on them. They’re also not really in the right location, but I’ve seen weirder. And unless you’re running a spot light or dropping something from the sky or another really specific task, there really isn’t a reason for anyone to be in the cats during the show

​@@grekygrek PTSD can come from ANY major stress to be honest, while YES, the WORST kinds are like with war veterans, being forced for...things we don't want to happen to our bodies lets say. seeing people die, etc. people CAN technically get PTSD from stuff like that, just tells you how TERRIBLE what happened, well, happened. PTSD can come in forms of minor(lesser known in media) to MAJOR and EXTREME cases, the ones WE know of more often than not. if its something that STOPS you in your tracks for even a moment in memory, and you get any form of dread and stress in that moment, because of something that happened in teh past, its generally PTSD. while yes, maybe minor, PTSD IS post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder, even jobs can give you traumatic stress sadly. so while technically they're and mine would be considered MINOR, its still PTSD, no matter how major or minor. figured it'd be nice to inform. oh and since I mentioned mine, scalding hot oil burns to my hand, nearly got third degree burns, hand looked like a rubber glove with the blisters so big.
