Being a parent really does make this game hit different. For those of you wondering what would have happened if Jay lit up all the crystals. The lady that greeted Misfortune would take her inside and she would then ask Misfortune who she wants to give the eternal happiness to. Because all the crystals needed to light up for her to get eternal happiness. And as she promised she decides to give the eternal happiness to her mom. And at the end of the game when she gives it to her mom, you can see that the mom after talking to the police man, takes of her mask of and for the first time in a long time smiles ( Not an evil smile😂). That means Misfortune’s wish came true, giving her mom eternal happiness.

After knowing everything about Little Misfortune and Fran Bow, knowing that they're both connected, and reading the extra material from both games (The book assigned to Leon from Fran Bow and the papers in Benjamin's bag), I think I thought of something interesting. Maybe the reason Morgo was targeting Misfortune and the other kids because they are younger and less skeptical of their surroundings, unlike Fran Bow, who not only saw Morgo herself, but because she saw him, she is more skeptical of her surroundings. Also, maybe Morgo has two different appearances between these two games because of how many children he took to The Beyond before trying to take Misfortune, sort of similar to how Benjamin gets to a higher level after sending certain amounts of children to Senersedee. And since both games share Primeve, Pandora, Senersedee, and The Beyond (AKA the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th realities first mentioned in Leon's book from Fran Bow), maybe there's a possibility that Misfortune will learn about Ithersta (AKA, the 2nd reality where Chapter 3 takes place in during Fran Bow?) I just realized that the only way this is flawed is because the demon in Fran Bow is actually named Remor. Also, considering his track record with Fran, maybe there is a chance that Itward could be Fran's guardian. After all, in the papers in Benjamin's bag, it didn't expressly say that all guardians have to be animals. Itward was originated from Senersedee (since we see him as Misfortune, Benjamin, and the puppy walk past him), he usually appeared to Fran and the other children in the asylum and even recalled memories of reading bedtime stories to Fran. And some of the asylum kids were aware of his presence because when Fran takes the Duotine pills in the room with the quarantined children, the room with the two malnourished girls becomes empty with only his name written on the walls. When he's referenced in the conjoined twins sister letter, alongside it is the picture of them when they were first put together in the Oswald Asylum. Despite the twins thinking he's the reason why they were stitched together, he told them that he was trying to help them see eye to eye with each other (which is brought up in the shadow puppet show in Chapter 4) because he is the duality between light and darkness.

Your time gap theory is also a good possibility, but I'd think hes changed based off of the ammount of souls/children hes taken/killed for himself, as as less of a level system. I'd personally love to see another game made by these devs that fully show the connection between the two games. Sadly, I don't think it'll happen. Also, at the very beginning, we saw two of the pinecones from Fran Bow, and then ovbiously all the charcters at the end. Another theory, could Mr.Midnight have been Fran's guardian, just like Benji? If he was, he'd have to be a newbie unlike Benjamin who was level (one or two I don't remember lol).

This is probably not the case, but when the Grim Reaper said “Lady Misfortune “ it made me imagine that she was saying her name was Lady. Like Lady and the Tramp. So I like to imagine that her real first name is actually Lady, and not misfortune. She just doesn’t know it, because she’s always called misfortune. But that would explain why she’s always saying she’s a little Lady. So how sweet would it be if her mom actually named her Lady, and that’s why misfortune calls herself a little lady, not knowing it’s actually her name? It would make the game a little less depressing. Like maybe, just maybe, her Mother actually does love her daughter despite her horrible life being with her abusive husband, and only staying with him so that she can take care of Misfortune. I imagine that’s why she stays with him, because she can’t take care of Misfortune by herself. 😔

Latin names for girls sometimes are nouns, and you can have nice words like "Consuelo" (Comfort) or not-so-nice words, like "Dolores" (Pain) and "Soledad" (Loneliness). So it might be that her actual name is something like "Fortuna" (Fortune, Luck), but she gets called "Miss Fortune" by one or both parents and the nickname kinda stuck? Especially since it seems that neither of them really wanted her in the first place.

It kind of hit me in the end. She wanted a hero and she never had one in her real life. Benjamin became her hero in the end and she had a 'Hiro' for a friend. It's sad that Hiro was never saved from Margo himself.🥺 Also, the places where Morgo wants Little Lady Misfortune to go (and where she sees the kids ghosts at) are the places where the other missing kids probably died at. I have seen this game once before, specifically from when Jacksepticeye played it, but when you started it, I decided to rewatch and I honestly forgot how much I was emotionally invested in this beautiful little game. It's the kind of thing that's so short, but leaves a huge impact on you, and gets you thinking. Maybe not immediately, but the ending definitely leaves you thinking. One thing is for sure: I'll be stuck saying "yikes forever" for a good little while.
