If you fish in the jungle biome you get bamboo which would be very useful for scaffolding and maybe fuel. So maybe making a pond out there would be the most usefull

In skyblock you want gold for piglin bartering, which gets you gravel, which gets you dirt.

you should try to get a few zombie villagers from the mob farm so that you can get into villager trading.

Your next project should be to get to the nether so you can make infinite dirt. How simple. Here's how; 1. Place down your portal in a four wide five tall configuration without corners or corners made of things that aren't obsidian. Use your lava source to ambiently burn wood to light portal. 2.Make sure you have 1 golden armor peace to prevent pig men from getting mad at you. 3. Make a gold farm (there are many online). 4.Trade said gold ingots to pigmen. Pig men will give you gravel infinitely so long as they have gold though it might take a bit of trading. Though that to can be automated(again there are online tutorials for that). 5.From there make course dirt from two gravel and two of your existing dirt. Place course dirt and hoe it at least once. congrats you have more dirt then you started with. Infinite dirt unlocked as well as a bunch of other things. Basically it converts the gravel into dirt. Your second goal should be villagers. How golden apples from the gold farm and oak trees, and witches. Witches in a boat don't despawn. When in a three block radius that they can see there is a chance for them to splash you with weakness. If a zombie villager is close by they will also get splashed causing them to become curable if feed golden apple. I would also recommend using flowers and oak trees to spawn in bees and make a honey farm as that will help with poison. If you didn't know drinking honey cures poison. your third goal is every farm having to do with villagers but namely iron farms, dimond tools, and armor. Enchantments after that if you can get them. your fourth goal should be a wandering trader farm. Wandering traders give you basically everything else for almost every other farm in the game. Like drip stone for infinite lava and clay. coral and sea pickle's for a bit of water fun as well as bucketed fish. moss witch can be used like dirt to for things and can convert stone into it's self. bone meal it for azalai bush that then can be bonemealed for azalai trees, and to spread the moss. Moss carpet will also generate for that green growing surface that doesn't let mobs exist lol. Not to mention saplings for any trees you missed. Making a fishing pond right now can give you some useful things like name tags, and enchantments. If you make a grind stone you can repropose some of those enchantment books into bookshelves those can be used to make villagers that trade for paper and books and enchantments. If you can find diamonds in a chest somewhere save them for the enchantment table, and a juke box for some record fun. You can buy all other gear and tools from villagers. once you have villagers you can kill pillagers at that out post to start a raid farm that will give you totams of undying emeralds and saddles for days. The only thing you can't get at that point for sure that you could need is dimonds that actual blocks. oh and end things if you can't find an end portal. sorry if this seems like a lot I just have played no structures supper flat with only a bonus chest to get me to stain ability. Also you can get coper form drowning zombies. Also also zombie villagers don't drown for some reason.

answering ur question: gold- as soon as u get in the nether start a z pigmen farm, specificly to trade with piglins. its easier to just make a big farm that has a slab roof (prevent ghasts) and dnt worry about seperating them. eventually u get pigmen in the shoot, so trade with them, then continue farming xD tip: u will need to know the trapdoor trip to piller down in the nether without water. hahah! about despawning leaves. i actually tested it and looked it up on wiki. it is TRUE. letting them despawn does not make better loot. the only thing that makes better loot is a looting sword. the original map was actually designed for a smaller render distance lol, but all the starter islands are at a straight compas direction from 0,0- including diagonals. and i think he didn't want u to see what the islands were from a distance lol. and they are about 1k blocks out in the cardinal directions. the goede was added within that circle, but there are quite a few out farther i think? -including woodland mansion -ocean monument hahah. yes! i hate the bridges. but they take forever to skulpt into bridges and islands. mushrooms: can be farmed as well as bonemealed into the large variety. they spread fairly easily if u place em somewhere near you like a normal farm. s

So, for the gold, you can smelt the armor until you have enough for two golden apples, then you trap a Witch and two zombie villagers and make villagers.

You can go to the nether and get gravel. When crafted with dirt and then hoed it gives you more dirt.

After a time I put the hideous bridges down low and iceboat highway them all. I build a manual ice farm in that tiaga biome. Bubble columns up to each once I have piglin bartering for the soul sand. Bonemeal any water source to get sea grass and 4 X seagrass = 1 kelp. I also like to grow a tree of the biome type in each one to remind what biome it is and come back and build it up later for decoration.

You may need the gunpowder to craft TNT, which can break the cobblestone bridges for exploring the isalnds and other stuff.

You can also use the old bows from the skeletons to power your furnace 👍

why when you could just use them yourself?! Not to mention despensers for automation like ato chicken farms?! That's a wast of a perfectly good bow! Yes at some point it will be too much but still the things you can use them for out way just throwing them or disposing of them like that off the bat. Clearly you haven't played a chalange map before. EVERYTHING almost is useful in the beginning until automation and villager trading is up.

iirc brown mushroom is used in certain potions that might be useful but I could be wrong. Other than that, once u get silk touch then the blocks for both mushrooms are super cool

just fyi, on dr trog's skyblock u *can* get to the end. the portal is supposed to be on the roof of the nether fortress. iirc. at least it was on version 1.17 and 1.19. infact, in the 1.16.5 version of this gameplay, u started in the nether with a basalt generator ;)
