I am a Chief Engineer by profession.
I have been sailing for the last 14 years. Passed out from MERI Kolkata in the year 2008. Joined Seaarland Ship Management as an Engine Cadet, over the course I have sailed in the past with British Petroleum and Anglo-Eastern as well.
With the help of YT Channel Merchant Navy Decoded and the website www.merchantnavydecoded.com, we are trying to make this profession more transparent. All our endeavors are towards promoting good shipping companies, good colleges and sharing updated information about the same.
There are so many myths attached to this profession and so many fraudulent activities operational that sometimes even students with good backgrounds land themselves into bad Shipping Companies. Futures have been destroyed because of lack of proper guidance and this KZbin channel will try its best to help those who are in need to get into a good shipping company.
Along with proper information, we also aim at glorifying good Shipping Companies, good colleges, so that awareness can be created and deserving candidates do not miss out on an opportunity to join a good college or company.

My self Tanmay Vijay Barge and I done my pre sea course which is Australian Deck Cadet just because I have PCM % of 59% so the ship I am going to join us of 1500 to 3000 GRT so my question is that is it worth for joining this General cargo vessel of the mentioned GRT for my future and the company I was sponsored is Varren Marine Shipping which is situated in Vashi .

Hlo sir I m ayush from H.P recently I come to know about this carrier and I felt good. But as I come to about the criteria about the compulsory surname in passport. The problem is that in none of my documents surname is present. So I decided to confirm it by you sir and u will definitely help me. Does it really required to have a surname or without it I can't get admission in any of college. Or sir if u get than definitely make a video in this topic.♥️❤️ love u

Hi Dear, As of now, it is better to mention your last name on your passport because some countries are not accepted our passports without surnames so it depends from company and country to country.
