Town of Salem is a browser-based game that challenges players on their ability to convincingly lie as well as detect when other players are lying. The game ranges from 7 to 15 players. These players are randomly divided into alignments - Town, Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists and Neutrals. If you are a Town member (the good guys) you must track down the Mafia and other villains before they kill you. The catch? You don’t know who is a Town member and who is a villain. If you are an evil role, such as a Serial Killer, you secretly murder town members in the veil of night and try to avoid getting caught.

For everyone curious about handler: Town Protective Role Picking a target puts your guard dog on them. The dog blocks one direct powerful attack on chosen target, and acquires the scent of the attacker. If you place the dog at the attacker's home, or if you block another attack from the same attacker, their identity is revealed to you. Basically it is a weird mix of a BG that won't die and a lookout who has lost their glasses.

@@Thewinningshep Marshal is a role where they replace the mayor role. They can reveal, and when they do, three voting rounds will take place and will be guiltied (I think), the roles of the three will be revealed all at once at the end of the lynching

Got info from another comment but basically handler puts one guard dog on a person every night, the guard dog protects from attacks and then can "sniff" out the attacker. So it's kinda like a mix of BG and LO.
