What a calming video. I think if you'd blanched the veggies a little, it would've been easier for them to eat.

That's the test I was waiting for, thank you dude ! I noticed my pleco and big fish eat the cucumber, if you cook it first it won't float anymore. By the way so much food in this aquaium would polute the water so much it would be dramatic for the system. I also confirm (Molly) can eat cooked brocolis and carrots when you cut them in super small pieces. I also know ognons can be dangerous for birds, same for avocados, so I suggest to be careful with these, there is also a difference of chimical stuff in the vegatables depending of the cooking, that's why the taste of endives gets so much different.

I thought why shrimps are not eating blanched vegetables. Now I know. I haven't fed my snail's anything since the beginning. Mine is a tank with field soil and sand , The most basic setup it can be. I have now a variety of algae ( all of them ) , worms , red worms mosquito larvae, only downside is my plants are suffering heavily, but the animal Kingdom is thriving.

I'm surprised how much action basically each vegetable got, I would have expected clear standout winners and losers.

Are celestial pearl danios ever aggressive to the cherry shrimp or other fish? Because I want to get them for my 30 gallon comunity tank with cherry shrimp, but some creators say that pearl danios can be aggressive.

I also adapted the walstad method. My aquarium doesn't smell after 16 months. If you can give me more details, maybe I can help you.

@walstadmethodstepbystep as substrate I use mixture of garden soil and compost, above that I have placed a thin layer of aquarium sand and then I have planted some basic aquarium plants

Makes you think; we as humans are not that "special" (read privileged) as we think we are; we're all just part of a large animal and plant world. With all our own big or little personal preferences, tastes,... Thanks for conveying that. ♥
