A girl I have liked for months recently gave me the just be friends speech. I went on one date with her back in November but didn’t go for the kiss. A week after the date I discovered she got into a relationship with someone else. I was heartbroken and didn’t reach out for two weeks. After two weeks I couldn’t help myself and began to comment on her Snapchat stories, thinking that I could be a good friend. Wrong move on my part. We spoke on Snapchat just about every day in January and I assumed that she had broken up with her boyfriend since she never mentioned him in our conversations. On a beach trip last month, I couldn’t bear it any longer and told her how I really felt about her. She proceeded by saying she only sees me as a friend. She had led me on since she was being flirty with me on the trip. Her boyfriend was not on the trip. I told her I wasn’t interested in being just friends and left the trip heartbroken again. Three weeks have past with no contact and she reached out wanting to hangout. I told her I would love to hangout if the boyfriend is not in the picture anymore. She is still with him so I had to stand my ground and continue to walk away. The ball is in her court now.

But before that, I've fucked up no contact twice, once to get my chessboard back and once to send stupid nostalgic photos (which she sent tons back to). The second time -via whatsapp- ended with her asking how I was, me deflecting this shit and saying "I gotta go". Context: insecure girl, dysfunctional family relationship, and I've been her rebound lover, and we had a really serious 'relationship' over the past few months, that involved us cohabiting. "let's be friends" and "we're more like bros" ensues, including comments to her friend that apparently included the topic of children (I hypothetically said women should have children earlier fuck my life) so, at the point of break up, I fucked up and said shit like "I give up" and "we can be friends but in a few months time" and other whiny feminine stuff, trying to reason with her. after reading your book, I've been purely focused on centering myself and been getting pretty good results. BUT I still think she's a good girl/option I'd like to keep around, I'd like to know if there is any effective way for me to set the door for open communication back open, or keep up the no contact until she contacts me (it's been three months now) just wondering if she is going to do exactly what I invited and not contact me over these few months.

So I was raised without a dad or any male substitute from birth. Instaid I was raised by my mom, aunt, and grandma. Bless them, they did the best they could. Obviously, I had absolutely no guidance in the realm of how to be a man, more specifically how to be an Alpha male, and how to handle women. Being raised this way in has left me completely fucked in the opposite sex department (8 years single), among many others. Additionally, I'm an introverted person who doesn't like to hear himself talk, which is often perceived as passive/beta even though my confidence is fine after years of working to improve it, and I'm definitely not the insecure/pushover needy type. It's been a long hard struggle to reach within and build self worth after having none, and learning how to do the things guys do; building things, auto mechanics, sports, etc. But I have, the easy parts that is. Self taught mechanic and But a porsche fuhrmann engine is a lego toy to compared to the complexity of women. Thanks coach Cory for helping guys like me understand more.

Undertaking valentines day and trying to even build a "perfect" date situation is approval seeking (if you are in the early stages of a relationship) where most guys think that because they are seeing a girl, Valentines would be the perfect time to try and lock her down. Only celebrate valentines, if you have to, when you are actually a couple and if you expect the girl your with to have an emotional attachment on a fake holiday.
