If you have 2 robberies in hand and a board full of mindsplices you could cast one for x= the mind splice total, and then cast the second one for the same cost or higher. I know you weren’t trying to do math but you could have won a turn earlier in the bats game.

With that much mana to spend on X-cost instant/sorceries then you really should have White Sun's Twilight as a backup (or main) wincon. It's a sweeper that'll answer what Temporary Lockdown cannot touch. Produces dozens of toxic mites that will require your opponent to have a sweeper on their next play. Plus the lifegain.

at 18:40 you couldve used the sweep of the season of weaving with the copy effect, which produces a non-sweepable token copy of mindsplice and you get to keep ramping

This deck is so degen! It's become one of my go to though if I hit a loss streak. I added a Complete the Circuit or two and at least one White Sun's Twilight. It's janky, but Complete the Circuit enables even more degen that catches many off guard.. 1) Triple Robbery for faster wins 2) Instant speed Season of Weaving x3 3) End of their turn White Sun's Twilight. Set it to 4 for 12 mites!

I know you went hard into golgari about a month ago. I have been working on a deck that is #TheCheeseStandsAlone. Because cool deck names need to come back, just like 1 food token after sac'ing our entire board to Pitiless Carnage: The deck is built around Scavenger's Talent, with Vinelasher/Lumra OR Pitiless Carnage as wincons. Enchantments: 4 Scavenger's Talent Creatures: 4 Iridescent Vinelasher 2 Haywire Mite 4 Llanowar Loamspeaker 4 Vinereap Mentor 2 Glissa Sunslayer 2 Skyfisher Spider 4 Lumra, Bellow of the Woods Sorceries: 1 Pitiless Carnage 3 Season of Loss Instants: 4 Go for the Throat Lands: 2 Mudflat Village 4 Fabled Passage 2 Evolving Wilds 4 Blooming Marsh 8 Swamp 6 Forest Deck went 8-2 in BO1 Arena ranked, and the 2 losses were manascrew, and 1st Lumra was 40 cards deep. Deck weakness: Cards that Exile, Boros Caretaker Forge is a tough matchup that is more likely a loss. Deck is very good with Scavenger's Talent, meh otherwise. -Lumra/Vinelasher/Mudflat synergy, very difficult to interact with outside of destroying Scavenger's Talent, which is cheap enough to get under discard/counterspells. So we throw in some cards to beat aggro/tribes, and all of a sudden its good against the meta. -Play ST/level it up, kill Sheoldred = win against discard -Kill spells/chumpers getting value into Lumra = win against aggro -Pitiless Carnage is capable of 1 shot mill opponent's library with 1 ST, and it absolutely 100% will if you have a 2nd Scavenger's Talent. Scavenger's Talent can 3x the dig(draw + mill!!!), we want to mill that Lumra into the yard for Scavenger's Talent. Maybe I should include a 2nd one. -Season of Loss: we are a 22 creature, generally self mill deck, thats gets most of its damage from Vinelasher and other minor sources(Vinereap/Loamspeaker lands)... We can use mode 3 as a finisher. It also sacrifices, which plays into ST. Haywire Mite: best A/E hate in the format, even comes with sacrifice which trigger's ST(this deck does not like Temporary Lockdown, but can beat it) Vinereap Mentor: the most efficient way to get 2-3 tokens on a body Llanowar Loamspeaker: It's ramp, on a needed body, that supports faster Seasons/Lumras/Skyfisher(chosen over Goldvein Hydra, I could be wrong). If ST is mode 2, *it can turn fetchlands into a free food and mill.* That's not a terrible backup value on the card if the ramp isn't helping on a particular turn. I hope you try this deck out and beat it to shit. Because it won on the spot when opponent ulted Liliana. It's milled opponent to zero, before pinging them to zero just because. And graveyard hate really isnt very prominent right now.

Am i doing something wrong? Like i dont get the Mindsplice Discount for Robbery. It says 17 black black mana, but i have like 5 mindsplices down with 3-5 counters on it and 13 lands. I dont really understand why its not working.

It should work, if I’m reading all this correctly. But, one thing is for sure, Robbery only costs BB and the additional mana for X (or the mana that Mindsplice provides as a discount) is the number of cards you steal.

It would be more toxic if you started beating them down with their own deck. Sure, it takes a long time to set up the one shot win condition with current playstyle but the actual win is fairly painless. Slowly suffocating a player with their own cards is so much more damaging mentally though.
