Thank you for your honesty. I related to it all, working home, home educating out 6, 5 and 3 year old. I see every other mum in church who seems to manage it all so well. But God. Thank you.

I have felt so low in energy and just chaotic since our last homeschool year ended ( beginning of May) I’m so tired physically and I guess mentally. I wanted to continue some of our subjects, and it seems like I’m so worn out that the day just swiftly passes and before I know it I need to start thinking and planning for our upcoming year. So it definitely saddens me that it’s just been a whirlwind in the last month. Home management is hard too. I don’t know why I’m rambling, thank you for your thoughts and feelings. Let’s gain the excitement and joy and peace from above so we can do everything for His glory no matter how chaotic we feel.

I so appreciated your video Wendy! We just started our second year of homeschooling and I was feeling so defeated already and struggling. Your words were so comforting and I know those children of yours are SO blessed to have you as their mama and all the love you pour into them ❤❤🙏🙏 God Bless you!

"I feel so confident in the homeschool curriculum things." - YEP! And my home management struggles, too! In my 10 years of homeschooling, I've never found a balance. I've just learned I have to let some things go. There is no way to do it all perfectly. I set the bar WAY TOO high for myself and what I expect of myself, and my husband keeps telling me, "We don't expect perfection from you!" So yeah.... I'm there with you on balance.

I am so glad you said this. I'm in my 3rd year homeschooling and still struggle, and I wonder why. I see some homeschool Moms who seem to have it down perfectly and I wonder why I can't figure it out. It's so nice to hear the honesty and that after that long, there is still a struggle.

I’m not a mother, BUT I have 20+ years of experience with working with children. A lot of parents go through burnout. Sometimes it’s because parents fulfill EVERYTHING for children and not allowing them to show you what they’re capable of. A routine will help, but the beginning WILL DEFINITELY BE TOUGH!

With you! I have 6 kids, 10 and under (youngest is about to turn 1 as well!). I’m definitely having to switch my home management strategy from some getting it all done to me managing all these little people so we get it done together. My husband has been a huuuge help in seeing where I need to delegate. I’m way better at the grunt labor but now I’m way too outnumbered to keep up and homeschool 😂

This was such a raw and real video. So moving, wow! This was encouraging, especially the price of praying for our children each day. I love these sit down raw videos. Most homeschool moms don’t talk about the struggle. So thank you !!!

Love you so much, Wendy! I get the feeling that motherhood and home management are the sorts of jobs where we'll never feel that we have "arrived,"....but that we can wake up and just faithfully keep doing the work again, day after day, leaning on God for renewed strength and constantly learning new things about what our children need in their own walks of growth in maturity. The hearts and the humanity are always the toughest (and yet most important) part of homeschooling.

I am struggling with the same things, but I have a fulltime job. I want to be home with my kids becuase I feel like I see God the closer I get to them. I have a 5, 3, and 1 year old so I totally understand. Being a mom humbles you fast!

Your content is very much a blessing to me. Knowing I’m not alone in the struggle of not feeling connected with my children (6,4 and 1) and keeping up with the house helps me feel normal. You make it feel normal and you have reminded me to lean on the Lord and for that I thank you!!! ❤

I see you and I feel you in all of these things. Thank-you for being so raw and vulnerable. I have found the last few years of motherhood and juggling all the home management, homeschooling, and work (part time NICU RN) to be incredibly humbling in daily revealing my every flaw and inadequacy. Thank the Lord for Jesus and new mercies every morning. His strength really is made known through our weakness.

Yes I understand the toddler life! I have a 19mo that co-sleeps and nurses and I baby wear. I have 3 to homeschool but its extremely hard to do anything with them that's not just going outside! We have chickens and try our hands at gardening and that has brought us together better than anything else!

Thanks, it was an important reminder to me to rely on Christ and not what I should be doing and that prayer is super important. I'm stuck struggling too. I have an 18 month old and the second due in July and I can barely do the dishes most days. I'm so far away from what I want in nearly every area and it's been that way ever since my first was born. I know full well it's a prairie fire burning through major thorny weedy sin areas in my life but I hate it.

Love you Wendy. This video just hit home so hard. I’ve been feeling like I’m failing as well. Girl these toddlers are tough lol. I also have a 1 yr old, 6 , 7 and 8 year old. I can’t be all things to everyone and find myself chasing a dream. I need to lean into Christ more for strength. Thank you for opening up

When I was a new mom or young mom, I always thought you treated your kids exactly the same and what you do for one, you do for the other. BWHAHHAA! Man, have I learned that's NOT true! I have an emotional daughter too (middle school was ROUGH)... we are coming on the other side of a really hard few years... so much crying and mood swings and just WOW.... But GOD has grown me and stretched me and taught me the power of prayer! I walked down at invitation time with my pastor a few Sundays ago, and said, "In my own strength, I'm failing so bad!" I was sobbing and just felt like the lowest of low. The devil is always distracting us, trying to pull us out of The Word and prayer... it's a constant battle!

Your honesty and vulnerability are genuinely inspiring. It's wonderful to see how you've grown through these experiences. I am a recovering perfectionist who is coming to the realization that I am trying to control things. I have had to learn and continue to learn that it is for his glory, not my own. So yes, it is a constant battle.
