Oooh.. This reminds me of my old colleague Robert ("Robbie" )Wedel, who programmed the Moog for Giorgio over here in Munich in the late 70ies. Unfortunately he died end of the 90ies. When he told me (in the early 90ies) that he was one of Giorgios team mates, i really didn't know how great this experience must have been for him. This track is a masterpiece of music and surely one of the headstones for EDM . It's so lovely (as usual) that you breathe new life into this song !!!

Nice interpretation. Using DAW etc You have to admit that Georgio Moroder managed to get this perfect with basic electronics of the day though. Not only with Donna Summer, but with Sparks etc. I love you're so passionate about it. Modern technology allows so much freedom compared to the pioneers, but also requires a new generation to master. You manage it so well 👌👌👍

Claudio, Thank you for the great videos. Stay healthy and inspired in these difficult times. Our thoughts are to all suffering people around the world and to neighbouring Italy as well... I come form Greece and I am a child of the 80s, so "italo disco" is one of my all-time-favorite music scenes. I wonder if you could reconstruct some of the great italo-disco songs, such as "Vampires" by Radiorama, or "Mad Desire" by Den Harrow, or "I can't get enough" by Prime Time or "Computer in my mind" by Ago... or any similar. Could you please?

Every time I hear I Feel Love, I always think I'm listening to Metropolis, which is probably one of my favourite Kraftwerk tracks. Always wondered how they were getting that sound before the era of digital sampling/MIDI. I need to play around more with percussive synth sounds now! I'm in self-isolation (have been for two weeks already), but I have a head cold, and that has proven to be a real pain when it comes to mixing, which is what I'm trying to get done, and I can't hear anything properly because my head is stuffed up.

Hello Claudio! What you are missing from the "sound" is reverb i think. Back in the 70s, reverb was the cheap way to take a so-so sound and make it better, so we added reverb to everything. Also, i think that GGM actually cut tapes to loops and used them to keep in sync, because his equipment would overheat and misbehave after a few hours in studio. Cut, as with scissors!

I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the '50s The sounds of the '60s, of the '70s And then have a sound of the future And I said, "Wait a second, I know the synthesizer Why don't I use the synthesizer which is the sound of the future?" And I didn't have any idea what to do But I knew I needed a click so we put a click on the 24 track Which then was synced to the Moog Modular I knew that could be a sound of the future But I didn't realize how much the impact would be My name is Giovanni Giorgio But everybody calls me... Giorgio. *CUE MUSIC* p.s love your channel.

Always a fun track to play around with, I did my own reconstruction the other day, used vermona drm1 for drums, minimoog with tc electronic delay panned for bass, juno 6 and studiologic sledge for pads/string machine noises. The kick should be a real drum sample really as it was a tape loop on the original I believe - but I couldn't be bothered with that level of originality! Problem with this tune is that when you get that bassline running you never want to turn it off to go do something else!
