Sensation after sensation, this is what human beings have been reduced to in Modern (Western) Psychology and Psychiatry. And this addiction to sensation makes humans slaves to their emotions. Everybody is chasing after FEELING GOOD. Not so long ago, being overly emotional was regarded even by the West as weak. But now emotionalism is regarded, strangely so, as being brave and macho; as being "in touch" with oneself. Our religion calls for EVEN-NESS and LEVEL-NESS IN EMOTIONS, but we disregard this in favor of "modernism". Sadly, we listen to lectures on religious topics TO FEEL GOOD, only to fall into a slump again in an hour or two. FEELING and EMOTIONALISM dim our NUR (enlightenment), and it'll surely DISABLE OUR ABILITY TO IDENTIFY THE DAJJAL. Too much to say in a comment, and may Allah forgive me for any hint of arrogance or ignorance in what I have stated. Amen.

Shaykh. There is a lot of information that you must decipher and commingle by cross referencing new information to come to an eschatological conclusion. Day by day new information reaches us. May Allah give you time to think and ponder Shaykh. Allah knows best what is true and which step is towards Jannah. All we can do is seek refuge in Allah, take our step and have Tawakal Al Allah. May Allah have mercy on us.

Would this type of feeling lead to addictive behaviours? Smoking, drinking, watching tv to check out, eating etc
@CuddleStories20 сағат бұрын
No. This is called mindfulness. It allows you to observe your thoughts and see patterns. Analyze how your brain works. Use this information to strategize and get better as a person.
