Tangled is my fav Disney movie ever. It holds a lot of memories and it's like the first movie I watched in the cinema with my family back when I was like 6 yo. Btw the song from the scene of floating lanterns, "I See The Light", is more than just a song in a movie, this song holds a special place in the Disney music canon, standing for its depth, emotional impact, and its pivotal role in the movie. And if I'm not mistaken, this song won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Anyway, someplace in Indonesia has done events with floating lanterns for the past few years. One of the biggest events is in Borobudur Temple and its soooo magicalll

So this movie & Frozen are actually part of the same universe, there's a part at the start of Frozen when you can see Rapunzel & Flynn going to Elsa's coronation & Rapunzel has the short hair, so Frozen basically hapends a little bit after this one

YES my fav movie Rapunzel is voiced by Mandy Moore, Flynn is Zachary Levi and Mother Gothel is Donna Murphy she has an AMAZING voice here on YT there are the behind the scenes where she (and I believe both zachary and mandy) sings in the recording studio 5:24 bc attitude 16:59 bc that's Rapunzel's crown from when she was a baby 31:03 why would she? Mother Gotherl thought of EVERYTHING. She told the 2 brother abt Rapunzel's hair so they could make Rapunzel think that Flynn abbandoned her, then she beat them up to prove to R that she's the only one who really cares abt her (she literally says to her I tried to warn you what was out there etc) 31:55 at the time he saw them before kissing R he only knew they were after him for the crown, so he thought if I gave it back to them they're gonna leave me (and R) alone

Tangled is literally a film on the stages of growing up with a gasligting parent, speaking from experience as I relate to Rupunzel so much with her indecisiveness on wanting to leave or stay with her gaslighter for the rest of her life.

While a different animation style, there's a "movie" called Tangled: Before Ever After, which takes place after this movie but it also acts as a preview of the animated tv series called Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure! Tangled Ever After also acts as a short that takes place after all of that, and as you may see from the cover it is them getting married.

I've seen a few of your videos now, however I never commented- BUT! Tangled. I love tangled. I'm about to watch, and I felt the need to share my unending love for tangled. I can't ever re-watch movies/shows if I seen it within a 9 month time span bc I'll remember it too much to enjoy, but tangled is my ONE exception. 31:55 Flinn went to give them the crown instead of just turning the boat around or something bc he knew they'd keep looking for him if he had the crown. Before meeting rapunzel he was prepared to live life on the run, ect, after he was prepared to do whatever it took to live with her I love him. Also, nobody ever mentions Rapunzel reaching out for Mother Gothel when she fell; I love that sad detail so much bc it shows that even though Rapunzel was fully aware of how evil Gothel was, a part of her still saw Gothel as her mother.

you mentioned that the mom looks like anna: rapunzel, anna, and elsa are all related. they're cousins! if you look very carefully in Frozen, you'll see rapunzel and eugene walking into the gates during elsa's coronation. agnarr (elsa and anna's dad) is the brother to one of rapunzel's parents, possibly the mom due to their resemblance :) it was just a theory a while back, but i think i read somewhere that the crew from both movies confirmed it. they're at least in the same universe. it's also theorized that they're in the same universe as the little mermaid and tarzan because of the shipwreck that killed anna and elsa's parents.
