I just found your channel and have subscribed. I am going to make a shawl with this pattern. I am not usually a fan of things with double crochet, it is just not a stitch I like as it is too gappy but mixed with the v stitch, the happiness is desired and so it works. This is probably the only time I enjoy a double crochet unless it is the front- or back- post double crochet. Thank you so much! 🙏💖

That is a "long" double crochet. YO thru stitch, yo back thru, yo pull through 1 loop, yo pull thru 2, yo pull thru 2 is a long double crochet. Pretty stitch! ❤ 🙂

Doesn’t look like you are doing DC-CH-DC. Looks to me you are doing Triple and not Double.

That is called a long double crochet. She only yarns over once. Triple is yarn over twice. What she is doing is pulling thru 1 then pulls thru 2 then thru 2. You can do the same for a "long" triple. Not common in the states anymore. In Turkey and other countries it is still very common.

The stitch used in the 2nd row is NOT a DC. An "elongated" DC, perhaps. But not an actual DC. Ditto the 3rd row. Those are NOT DC stitches. NOT.
