I love how much credit Esme gives Joey. Even on the hard days Joey always gets a treat and a kiss. You don't always see that with riders and their horses. Thanks for not being afraid to show that not everyday of riding goes perfectly! I walked away from the barn a little disappointed this morning after riding my 4yr old after she tried to chuck me twice in a canter, but this reminded me that not everyday is going to be perfect & that’s okay, there’s always the next day

really needed this today emse!! can’t express how much you’re content helps me with my riding as well as my mood, been down in the dumps recently as I rode my pony last week to jump and came off twice :( really knocked my confidence and had to cancel my cross country lesson because of it. i love you showing the highs and lows!! thank you!! i do barrel racing but i love seeing the energy. i’ve had a bit of a low period lately and having a lot of issues but with slow work we finally had a clean run! something that i think is really cool is that two of my horses are the same ages as yours! completely different breeds but same ages! (Winchester, 15.3h 1999 bay quarter horse and Hashtag, 16hh 2014 sorrel quarter horse)

It's always such a joy when rider don't get angry when their horses have those 'naughty' or hatd times I remember when I was taking lessons years ago, it was me and the riding school owners daughter on that lesson. Her horse got spooked by a car and she ended up falling. I was made to switch horses with her for the rest of the lesson (I was riding my favourite lesson horse I really connected with, which made me even more upset) and even after she had fight with her mom (she was so sure he should be sold) and after she went to the yard, she fed other horses some fresh grass as treats but ignored and walked away from her horse, like he did it on purpose and wanted to throw her off. It truly opened my eyes to seeing her for who she really was

This is amazing! I have a green pony and sometimes I compare myself to other riders that don’t have a green pony! Your channel is very inspirational! There is highs and lows about riding but is definitely worth it! I have a welsh pony black mare named pearl that just started doing shows with me! She is the sweetest! It’s winter here but my problem is that my horse has a lot of anxiety from Cushings. It’s not too bad yet but he’s already and anxious horse so I’ve been really struggling. Even when I just take him out for a trail ride he can bolt or spook really bad at something he wouldn’t normally spook at. Your video helped me to know I’m not the only one. Thanks for being Awesome Esme!!!

Yay! New video! I have just been riding! The pony I rode was amazing again! She is so good and hard-working- perfect! I had a little fall/ slip when I attempted to canter with stirrups crossed over as I wasn’t concentrating on balance but the pony I rode was really good! ❤️🐴🥰☺️🐎

Love the video Esme! So true that everyone will always have ups and downs with horses and we all learn from our mistakes. I have been having a lot of downs recently looking for a horse suitable to a beginner rider like me and we still have had no luck😕 i trialed a horse and it reared in our lesson because the horse was for an experienced rider. But you encourage me to never give up and your such an inspiration. Also was the hy eq giveaway announced?

Esme thank you so much for posting this I have been having really hard times with my pony lately,she is a mare and I have a temper and we have just been clashing. It got to the point where she wouldn’t even trot for me and it was awful for my confidence and I was honestly thinking of quitting riding because I felt bad for her and i felt like she could do so much better. But then Wednesday we had an awesome ride and she was a superstar, it’s nice to know that even awesome riders like you have bad days and it will get better ✨💙❤️🩹🌈🐴✨

Thank You so kuch Esme for making this video! I know that this will be helpful to many other people and past me! This is very inspirational and motive I fell off very badly while trying to stay on for about 30 seconds on a jumping lesson, for me it was a very shocking near-death experience which made me stop riding for about 3-4 months. This really helped me, because i fell off on a jumping lesson and 'm having a jumping Lesson this Saturday.
