Regardless of any mistakes YOU HAVE GOTTEN SO MUCH BETTER AND MORE CONFIDENT. Continue down your path IF YOU CAN PLEASE INVEST IN AIRBAG CLOTHES (Jacket and pants and you won't regret it). I wish airbag pants were available in Australia

You did great! Most of us dropped a bike, even the best riders. It happens, the good thing is that was that it was when you were still. So count your blessings, you'll get much better. Practice your slow maneuvering skills and especially braking, never stop practicing. Check out motojitsu and motocontrol videos, you can't go wrong. New subscriber, ride safe :)

Certain gears are good for certain speeds it’s knocking like that when your going to slow in to high of a gear.

"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up." - Alfred, Batman Begins. Don't let this discourage you. Just keep on riding and practicing and enjoy. I would recommend some excellent KZbin channels such as @DanDanTheFireman and @MotoJitsu because they have great tutorials and practice examples for you to build confidence in those slow speed maneuvers. Those were tremendously helpful for me when I was taking the course to get my license two years ago, having never sat on a bike before that in my life. And it's also a good thing to practice every now and then, because we get rusty... Ride safe and God bless you and keep you!

Turn around next time and lift the bike properly using your legs. It'll be a lot easier if you work on your strength. Get some practicing in and try again. Good job so far. Definitely start working on your legs and strength too so you can pick your bike up if no one is there for you. Excited to see you progress.

@Bosstycoontati Good. It is a good course, I actually took it twice just to feel more comfortable. If you can afford it, I would take their advanced course as well. Also, if you can find a cheap dirtbike and some land to ride around on, it can help you learn the clutch/gears without worrying about traffic. Remember when you are on a hill, you need to give it a little gas just to keep the bike from rolling back, and hold on the rear brake as well. Slowly let off the rear brake as you add in gas and let the clutch out. It just takes practice.

You are pretty bad... Im actually surprised you passed the MSF course. Be careful out there. I passed my MSF with a perfect score and still spent some time in parking lots. Practice thoae low speed maneuvers and remember to look where you want to go. Also, dont fixate on targets. Thats probably why you took such a wide turn in the beginning. I'm not trying to bash you but i also would hate for you to be injured or killed..

You want motorcycle play on the throttle. 2mm to 3mm. You don't want it to be that stiff like his bike.

Your throttle is supposed to have some play in it. Yours is correct, his is not. I’m willing to bet when he turns the idle goes up a tad.

And this is exactly why I want that SE, those frame sliders are perfect for that! Have you learned to pick up correctly? Using your butt as the pivot and just walking backward into the bike? This guy must be stronger and not need the assist of physics. You're less "picking up the bike" and more "pivoting the bike."

Why didnt you take a smaller bike a 125 for example...... because at the speed your going i see it as a better result and enjoyment ❤ maybe for the first 1-2 years and then change when you pick up the pace and know enough tricks to get out of certain if not all situations ( like falling , death wooble , crash......etc ) not that i would want any of these to happen to you ( but experience comes from ones own mistakes ) and having bigger bike you cont handle brings trouble on the short ❤

Don't mean any harm but you definitely need the free MSF motorcycle safety course! It's a lot of fun to get your 1st bike but running stop signs as a beginner is not what you want to do! And from the sounds and looks of your bike, it looks like a Ninja 400 not a ZX4rr. I have a Ninja 650 and CBR 650 and my son has a ZX4rr Anniversary edit.. and it's quite different from yours 🤔

@@Bosstycoontati ..AHA ! the 500 replaced the 400 but are basically the same. We live in Pa, where most of the courses are free, and we've had several courses. You will learn so much in just 2 days, it will surprise you! I took my 1st course in 1985 (yep, I've had at least 10 bikes in that time period going back to the 1st GSXr 750 & 1st Ninja GPZ 900r ) Anyway, stay safe and practice, practice ,practice. (especially low speed maneuvers, zig zags etc in big parking lots.. Lots of drivers out here that don't give 2💩💩about motorcyclists!
