This is probably the problem with most multiplayer games now. Unless you’re extremely good, solos seems so hard bc it at least feels like solos get qued up against squads so often and then you get ran though trying to compete against an actual communicating team.

I think using it at close range is a big skill gap notice how the shots were off by a little bit, I'm sure if you lead the shots when up close they'll hit without having to track the target and all you really need is one full burst to deplete shields then combo with melee if you're w8thing range or swap to pistol for headshot

The Pulse Carbine absolutely shreds, but you have to zoom to activate the homing. From there, it's a wrecking machine. One burst pops the shields completely, and the tracking is pretty intense. Second burst kills if you hit the headshot. Also great to pair with the pistol. You pop shields with the carbine, then get easy cleanups with the pistol

I've been hearing people say that onyx is really easy to get but I'm out here struggle busing, between playing with people that have no idea how to play and going against people that are in diamond and onyx. The worst part is that even when I win a match against higher ranked players I basically get no CSR even though the team comps are like gold+plat vs diamond.. it's odd

I've been playing with my friends for weeks and they're all onyx 1600+ I've been at d6. I'm not going to let one loss going even make me feel lesser to them when it takes 3 games going positive to make up for it going against some 1800cr players with my team. I'm on par with many higher ranked onyx players but have yet to hit onyx. Rank does not reflect skill . I've seen a lot of onyx 1500s that I have no idea how they even got there. It's almost like the game expects me to beat onyx 1600s at this point when it reflects negatively towards my rank. Also as of late it has been affecting my rank with leavers too

You need to be at the top of the leader board in K/D, objective doesn't matter in halo infinite. You can literally lose and go up if you perform well enough. It's all about how high your K/D is and the ranks your playing.

@Johnny Hadid have you checked out his video on pre aiming/micro adjustments? It's a concept that can pretty much be an universal application. I also recommend launching up a practice match against bots, slowly up their difficulty until you get used to moving targets, as well as maybe mess with your sensitivity, and dead zones until you find what feels right. It will take some time, but focus on body shots until your consistent with those, and then try and snap to their head.

I use to be a god when it came to sniping back in halo 3 days. Then Halo Infinite comes around and I couldn’t land one shot. A few days ago I adjusted the zoom x6 sensitivity by 1 and I’m back baby. It’s crazy the 1 point of adjustment made.

You don't use the pulse carbine up close, it's a long range weapon the strips sheilds very quickly to then switch to a kinetic weapon of some type and land the head shot

I've had double zoom plenty of times with Snipe. It seems to be a bug, as I could replicate it (but not 100%). If you switch from another weapon to the Snipe and try and zoom in immediately as it switches it can cause it to double zoom.

For the pulse rifle, shoot and keep tracking them with your cross hair and the energy bullets will connect, doesn’t work well at close range. Also, I’ve had the thrustmaster controller for the past 6 months, loved it until my right trigger’s springs kind of gave up and now it doesn’t come back out that well after pressing down on it. My guns either continually shoot, or shoot at random without pressing down on it :(

Sniper has been a favorite of mine in every Halo game. Like the Shotgun, we have a completely new one... I miss the old ones. Fresh shotgun is cool, less cheesy but I hope they add the classic 8 gauge. I am way more confident with the Shock Rifle, 1 shot headshots are much easier.

Solo ranked, I got diamond 5 easy. But in diamond 5 and 6, every 5 wins is worth one loss. And the amount you lose is way too based on KD. It incentivizes baiting in corners and not playing objective or not being the first man on a team push. Also have gone 11-12-10 with highest damage in the lobby for a slayer game and lost half a rank because my KD was “negative”

@Proximitty.....If you ADS with the Pulse Carbine Rifle then put your crosshair on or just beside your opponent.....The Plasma Balls will Semi-Track your target, even at fairly long ranges and it only takes a couple of bursts to break shields.....Hope this helps you to understand the weapon a bit more !?!? !! ever notice why sometimes you throw grenades they get caught on the corner when you think your cleared of the corner to throw the gernade but it bounces back at you? or why your beat downs seem off? or how yo u cant shoot by corners and it looks like your hitting the enemy but its not doing damage? I think its because your character is actually off centered from what your actually seeing on your screen.

The grenade thing is because the grenade is thrown from the left hand and not the centre of the screen so if you peak a corner to the right you’ll hit the wall if you’re too close.

Pulse Carbine is really good but it’s not for killing lol, you fire it once or twice and switch to BR or whatever gun to finish the kill, it’s really strong but not intended to be used by itself to get kills, don’t sleep on it 👌🏾

Yeah idk about THAT lol. I mean maybe for somebody that has lots and lots of time to play but listen to my story. I’m 30 and I’ve been playing Halo since Combat evolved was released in 2001 without ever stopping. I was ranked one of the top players in the world on Halo 2 because I was in the 8th grade AND I was homeschooled. So it’s pretty much all I did. As I’ve grown up I’ve had less time to play but I usually managed to stay in Diamond in Halo 5 most seasons. So fast forward to Halo infinite release. I make a scrap account to with so that I can feel out the game and kind of see what ranked is all about before using my primary account. I think my first rank they gave me was gold 1 after the qualifying matches. So I switched over to my primary account and said “ok let’s do this” I got some coffee and started grinding with my friends. We started playing those qualifying matches and absolutely DESTROYED all of my opps. My team won every match and I was number 1 or 2 on the team every time. what rank did they give me? Gold 3….. I was like ok that’s sus because I played like crap on my other account and they gave me Gold 1. So I’ve been grinding now for like 2 weeks and I’m at Gold 6. It’s not as easy as you’re making it sound. Maybe I just don’t play enough but I’m married, have a full time job, and I’m learning to code so I don’t have just hours and hours to play.

havent even tried ranked yet, played a lot, want a ranked ffa to play. Only ever got diamond 6. Friend who got champ 20-1 often says he hates this new system. Held Champ 1 for like 3 days surprisingly, height of his feats. I really wanna perfect my sens settings. Best I had in h5 that got me next level were from this channel: sens 2, look acceleration 5. I have myself now at sens 1 acc 5 but to combat the slowness of 1, turned my middle look deadzone all the way up. Needs tweaking IK. But I can look pretty dang fast on sens 1, js.

Yo bro, re: the pulse carbine, you gotta go for headys only. When the reticles red, and you hit headys, they track, so its a two shot (pulse) kill. Its a super small distance window, and you gotta be accurate, but it can be sick if you can get used to it.

@Nate Higgers Played on 2 today. Definitely improves my accuracy, but man… I was on 10 and really enjoyed being able to whip myself around. Completely impossible of course on 2/3 sensitivity (and honestly impossible on 10 too), but I do think I’ll still with it because of the improved tracking. Thanks!

I don’t think it’s easy to get Onyx, for I’m stuck at Platinum 1-2 and go back and forth. I’ve always played first person shooters primarily since Duke Nukem 3D. The problem for me is matchmaking puts me with lower ranked players and I place top of leaderboard but my teammates suck and we loose, so I de-rank; or I get match made against Diamond & Onyx players get rekt and de-rank.

I would consider myself an above average halo player, at least for infinite. I litterly used to crush halo 1/4 but after 4 I just couldn't get anywhere!! I felt like I was a school kid letting a team of grown ass men down by being a fool. Halo infinite is even more strange! I either play trash or I'm some mlg god!! People who are good at halo will no what I mean when I say you don't think about things you just keep moving dipping and diving and you get caught in a trance of pure carnage. I can sometimes get myself switched on enough to get back to God levels, but then the issue becomes my team mates. I can have an amazing game loads of kills and playing the objective, but if you team aint doing the same then you get punished.
