It should be known: EA didn't set Titanfall 2's release between Call of Duty and Battlefield. That decision was on the Respawn higher ups because they wanted to take on Call of Duty. However, EA has final say on these matters and they somehow didn't realize Battlefield would likely cannibalize TF2's sales... Either that or they knew full well and allowed it to happen to hurt Respawn financially so they could fully acquire them.

4 million copies were sold, so much more than most titles getting released today that still have a longer life cycle, it has nothing to do when it was released and everything to do with the fact there was no reason to keep playing the game, it was a complete casual only game. no esports scene, no private custom games, no ranked system, no in game progression system. it was literally log in for few matches and find something else to do until even logging in wasn't worth it.. it was really boring after a 5-10 games, sit and ask why am i playing this?

What's really sad is that apex was literally tf3, but halfway through development, the battle Royale hype started, so they went screw it this is a battle Royale game now. They even found campaign voice lines and files for Titan Fall 3 in the early early apex code.

barely any of titanfalls misfortune is due to EA, respawn chose the release window for the second game, only a year after titanfall2 released did ea actually buy respawn, by that point titanfall3 already had a prototype yet respawn themselves made the decision to scrap the project in the pursuit of apex legends. later on vince zampella was promoted to head of dice and respawn were working on the starwars came and with the success of that were given created freedom by ea to make whatever game they wanted next, they chose not to do a titanfall3

4:58 according to an interview with Respawn a year ago, EA was allowing a new Titanfall 3, and Respawn already had a Working Prototype around 2017 and early 2018, However they themselves decided to scrap it and build Apex legends in secret for some months (they didn't even told EA) This is why at the start of Apex, everything seemed so Titanfall-ish, is built around the assets/concepts of Titanfall 3, obviously without the titans and wall-running

Weird I heard that around when Apex dropped. After the SALE to EA. 10 developers left. It doesn't take a genius to realise why 4-6 of them went and helped reboot Modern Warfare. So they won out of that It's all under the Microsoft Banner now though. So it's not much butter over at Infinity Ward these days. But at least they didn't have to work for EA lol

Highest kill Rampart in Canada here, and last weekend was the worst weekend i have ever experienced. Over 10 hours played over the weekend and had 3 mediocre games with 5 plus kills matches and with over 30 thousand kills with her and seeing my teammates struggle to even get a couple kills. Having matches with 2500 damage and 4 kills in pubs is crazy and i really feel the player count is falling. Now aside from the gameplay i had 430 packs and i figured those plus 4500 coins and 20tho crafting materials i figured that would go far in the event for the sword and after opening everysingle pack and using all material and coins i litterally made it half the way through the event, and still have to spend 250 dollars to complete the event. I will say also every item i got was a banner and all purple only got 3 gold outbof all of it. Thats alot of money and dedication for zero reward nothing i got was what i wanted and it really solidifies how much of a rip off all the events and battle pass have become. At this rate i doubt Apex will survive for very many more years.

10 of the 12 Devs who made it don't even work there anymore. The 2 who do didn't code the game and those positions have been replaced Just the Lead Dev and the Artwork guy. No coders. Not one nuts and bolts developer who built the game is there So nothing will get fixed properly. Only things will get added or patched over/around They are too afraid to do anything to big because of this issue. And the fact it would take them 10x longer than it would have with the entire respawn team. Most left and helped reboot Modern Warfare when they remade that. So it's been AGES since they were there

Titanfall 2 is my favorite game ever. The hours I've put into it just having fun with friends. I got it at release because I enjoyed the dynamic gameplay of the first, and was hyped to see the story. I was not disappointed. Even today, I launch it just to play the story again. It's even still easy to find matches, plus the pve cooperative mode is genuinely fun. Incredible story. Genuinely fun pvp and co-op modes. In my opinion, it is as close to a perfect game as one can get. Also, BT is just the greatest. Great, now I have to play again. Maybe I'll see your titan fall next?

Man I am 24 years old, gamed all my life, started with like Halo 1 , CoD WoW , etc, and no first person shooter has ever hooked me as hard as Titanfall 1 and 2 did. Those games were just the most fun FPS games I've ever played to this day easily. I am not even very religious but I pray we get a Titanfall 3 someday.

This is honestly why I personally believe when a company "kills" a game, because that is basically what EA and Ubisoft does 24/7, is release the source code and game files so people can either study or use the files. It's just too bad greedy companies feel the need to keep a game that they basically forced into a coma. I'm really happy Diesel Knights is being made, and I bet it's going to be great, but sadly not all of the old player base will hear about it until it picks up more traction.

What I hate the most about respawn, is the fact that when apex was starting to show signs of decay, the devs thought they could circle jerk the titanfall community with the most pointless "celebration" in the game's history. Titanfall 2's micro transactions were normal. They we're extra content locked behind a paywall or loot boxes. They were things you could unlock for multiplayer by actual playing the game, buying them wasjust an option. I think the only thing you can't unlock without paying for it is the Prime executions, but they're just animations that look cool. They don't give you an advantage. And i love how they added Frontier Defense for people that maybe don't eant to play PvP In evey sense of the word, it was PEAK

I started on titan fall 2 but my brother did have the first one which i just never played. I did the campaign SO much because it was fun, easy, and it just looked cool. After a while, i got a pc and just abandoned my Xbox so my parents canceled live to save money. I do have apex right now and if I'm being honest i dislike it very much. I do not think that it should of replaced Titan Fall 3 and i was a little sad that they just added this instead of making a Titanfall 3.
