Love you Jazza! You have made a beautiful community out of us like minded nerdy, introverted artists. We appreciate all that you do to take us into your world for even just a little while each week. It is the disconnect from regular life that so many of us need. ❤

I think that at some point big youtubers forget that with every generation, there comes a new wave of beginner artists. Your audience keeps changing, so no one has the same learning phase as you. Actually very few people are at the same skill level as you. So now youre a big youtuber at the top, and need to pump out entertaining video after another, because in the past, you've already done most of the video ideas. But in reality, basic beginner artist seek out your content one after another in hopes of learning, and then see you do things that arent financially achievable to them to try out. You could just teach people art in 5 year cycles, and after those 5 years your audience has probably grown and moved on, but theres a new wave of beginner artist seeking out "how to draw a character" or "how to paint a mural/ wall painting" videos.

I personally always come back to re-watch some old videos like "buying suplys blindfolded" "following a bob ross tutorial but *blank*" "Learning a new supply/thecnique" "Art with only a collor/material". All those goofy chalenges were so fun

While I miss the tutorials and paspartout days, the fact that I've been subbed for so long and still watching every now and then... that's something no other channel (other than music/singers) has done for me. Of course, people are not brands and we do change and grow--and so would your content. It's okay for friends to grow apart and find other friends. You've always been authentic and kind; you don't screw us over. You'll be in our screens for a long time.

Just out of curiosity, what's the "paspartout days"? I'm pretty new here and not even a regular. "Passepartout" means the "mat"/piece of cardboard that adds a margin to a framed picture no?

the biggest thing iv gotten from this, is that your community loves it when you are engaging with them. make them feel apart of it, like the wet meme for example. that makes your audience feel like they are apart of something. I feel like streaming is a great way for you to connect with the community more. it's raw authentic jazz that people love to see!

I don't expect Jazza to make more animations/short films, as I know they require a lot more background work and time than smaller videos and projects... but I still want to say that "The Tale Teller" is one of my favourite projects (both the film and bts vlogs) to go back to. He's mentioned before that it failed from a KZbin perspective, but I rewatch it every few years and listen to the musical track pretty often. It's timeless and it remains one of my favourite animated short films to this day. ❤

OK, my 2 cents... I'm a college instructor who teaches 3D modeling and animation in Milwaukee WI. I'm a traditionally trained fine artist, BFA in Fine Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Hopefully I'm minimally qualified to add to this discussion. I understand critique, good and bad. Someone telling you you're work is amazing is as beneficial as someone telling you it sucks. Neither of those things helps you get better as an artist, why is it good, why do you think it sucks. Both of those opinions with the explanation of why can help me understand more about my art. I'm not here for the art, I've been watching you for years because you take risks as an artist and your personality makes your experiments fun. You are an amazing artist, that shouldn't be in question. Don't play it safe, do things you find entertaining and we'll go on the ride with you.

While it's satisfying to see great art come to fruition, part of what makes Jazza fun is seeing him take on these wild projects (big or small) that he doesn't really have any background in -- and regardless of the outcome we all learn from it. Whether it's the satisfaction of something that turned out great despite the mistakes or lack of knowledge, or finding out why X turned out to be hilariously bad for the end result... 😂 And for us that are too careful to risk messing up that bad (for actual mess or economic challenges), it's grat to have an outlet through these videos ^^

Anyways I also love it when your videos are down to earth and genuine and there is sorta this more closeness.

I just want to add a small caution about the survey results. I wonder how much of that is from die hard fans already. I think I’d be in the minority that I used to watch every vid from you then stopped doing that because things sorta shifted. For me, I liked the relatability of learning about something through trying something. So, the survey results didn’t really reflect a lot of that beyond “it’s all good”. I’ve done advanced stats and study design and this is likely because of the respondent ground lacks diversity (those who no longer would watch that ‘fix this’ vid were likely not there to respond). However, maybe what peeps like myself want is just not where you want to be now? And, that should be ok by you - you should be willing to lose subs to do what is right for you because you will always gain subs on your new direction. In business, if customers aren’t happy with what your product is, maybe they are no longer customers you may want? Sad for me cos I want old Jazza content, but you need to maybe decide what YOU want? 😊

I’ve also felt the videos shift to more click-baity stuff over the years and I typically stay away from videos that seem to be just made for the algorithm. But I think this got a bit better again!)

hey jazza , i watch a youtube a lotttt and thats my only experience to comment this . I dont think its all on you if you feel like the thing is not going like you wanted it to . I think art is a niche and honestly you are doing amazing in that niche . A lot of big channels here which i am sure you will know better than me is less about art and more about 'mass entertainment'. So fairly , its really on if you want this to be an 'art' channel or an 'entertainment' channel. But also I have been a subscriber since last 2 years (i think) and I feel like you are a person who can push the 'art and entertainment' amalgamation . I think it can be tolling on people to always be fun , its can be lot of performance . However , you infact have such a positive vibe naturally . What I am trying to say is looking forwards to whatever you have in store that makes you happy !

I think it'd be fun to do more things with your subscribers - streams, collective art projects, drawing your subscribers art, competitions or collaborative things like everyone drawing x and posting it, creating your own 30 (or 10 or whatever) day challenge and inviting us to follow along. I think people really love you and your personality and the more you can include us in some part of your channel (not every video obviously) the more connected we'll feel ^^ I also think it'd be fun to do some mixed media art - i feel like you do a lot of a single medium and then move on to the next one, but if love to see more mixed stuff! What do you think about combining 2 random mediums? Like litterally pulling two random ones from a list. You might get something like sculpting + paint pouring and have to figure out wtf to do with that 😂 i think it'd be fun, creative, and create good thumbnails 😉

First, WET is the new COVFEFE 😅. Second, I think that though it's great we all got to give our input, the stream hopefully showed you people want you to feel happy doing what you do, no matter what it is and no matter the outcome. Go be your quirky, happy self. You said it. You also have the choice to do what YOU want. Nobody knows your channel better than you do. You know your audience. We all got carried away with suggestions, myself included, and at some point I was thinking you're probably going to attempt to do everything on that list. But at the end of the day, YOU DO YOU, just be audacious about what you do. You'll have hits and misses. It's all part and parcel. Most important in all of this is you. Second most important is figuring out what the hell "wet" means within the context of that stream. 😂

Also know that if at any time you do need to take a break, or even take longer for videos, or something just goes wrong; just tell us and we’d understand. I feel like a lot of artists get inspired and motivated when there’s a community around, so even if you need to hear from us and our thoughts often that’ll work great for everyone. Also, another thing I thought about. Why not try KZbin shorts in between videos if you still want to post? It’s very engaging for audiences too and it’ll introduce more people to the community

I'll be entirely honest. I have watched your content for about 9 years (since I was in high school) but I have changed as a person. I no longer have aspirations to be an artist. I don't find the art itself interesting, even if you were to revert back to the "Draw with Jazza" era. I think just like how you and the algo has changed so have I. The only reason why I am still subscribed to this channel and (TableTopTime roleplay) is for the people and personalities. I'll watch a main channel video here or there but I am more interested in you as a person I guess. Sorry this is probably useless😅. I love this channel and I wish I was in a position to be a Patron

I miss character creation and drawing stuff. Stuff that people can follow, worlds being built.

Most of the videos right now are 'I saw x doing this on tiktok and I wanted to try it out' 'this video is sponsored by y and I'm doing this for them' etc. I think these videos don't have much story to them. I have an idea, I tried doing it, and then I did it. Maybe try something outside of your comfort zone that's gonna take you weeks to learn. Film your thoughts along the way. What difficulties you came across. Similar to the way felix aka pewdiepie is doing his 'I tried n for 100 days' or William Osman, Ididathing etc. With more story to the actual video. You've promised bigger projects etc. But it doesn't seem very ambitious at the moment.

I'm a long time subscriber and viewer and ngl, I kinda fell off in the past 6 months and was getting uninterested for a bit before then, from the clickbaity thumbnails to the hyper fast pace to many of the videos to projects that just didn't relate to me as much, I fell off and this whole reconstruction called me back to this channel. I guess I'll say what most people are saying, I miss the days of goofy, laid back, relatable Jazza. There were many times in the videos in the past year or 2 where there is little introduction and it's so fast paced like a Mr beast video whereas in the past there was a nice decently sized intro to explain the concept of the video and then we gradually got into it, there were times in these recent videos where we're so far into the project in such a small amount of time and it catches me off guard. This might have been long winded and unnecessary but this comes from a place of love for you and your content and I hope this reconstruction is more of a return to form personally.
