the best sculling footage on the web. Thanks for all your efforts. I thought the woman's sculling was your best to date a couple of questions the styles of the sculling all look pretty much the same and the hands finish lower than what I was taught by a couple of inches what were the uprights clamped on the oar locks on one of the women's boat? what was the thing attached to the stern of one boat that was shooting up some water? Thanks

Not sure what footage you're refering to, but i think you're talking about those upright straws that are meant to indicate where someone should catch or release, it's for people who are inconsistent in where they catch. The thing on the stern that splashes up water is something to imcrease drag, its either for strengthendurance training or for getting a better feeling of the stroke because you have more pressure on the oars because of the lower speed Dont know the english terms for either

Cheers Richard! Ben pretty much got everything for your questions there. The brackets help the athletes figure out there catch and release angles and shoot for a physical indicator. And the water feature attachment is a simple straw to show boat speed and helpful to figure out how to minimize disruption during the recovery.

Fantastic footage on the water with your new camera. Still think the go-pro hero 7 is better for your on land walkabout footage. Also less intimidating for your subjects. Delighted for you that the US teams are giving you such open access. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Hopefully you will get a gig on Olympic rowing TV coverage after this (RTE could do with a fresh face).

I came across your video while looking for a KZbin video to row to while using my Concept 2 machine. The footage of the three teams rowing was by far the best thing I have found yet that makes you want to row. The ones with just a view of where you are going are not motivational. Just wish yours was longer (closer to my 5000k row time). Nice stuff. Maybe you could think about making one (around 30 mins) just for people rowing at home.

I like the idea of a long one! Ive got one video you might like to watch while erging (not 5k length but maybe a 1k) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3WqeHuLjMp-eKs

I am amazed they are wearing masks while doing strenuous exercise?!! I guess it will help them feel the effect of altitude training without a trip to the mountains. Unless they keel over with a lack of oxygen first...
